On my YouTube channel I've created a gameplay walkthrough video covering chapter 3 of this game.
Chapter 3: Course Correction - This video covers exploring Enginering with Issac. Our goal is to get the engine back online to prevent the Ishimura from crashing into Aegis VII. To do this our main objectives are to fix the centrifuge, refuel, then restart the primary engine. Once these objectives are complete, we learn of another emergency that we have to resolve sending us toward the Bridge Station.
In this video we find the Ripper and Flamethrower weapons, schematics for Medium Med Pack, Ripper Blades, and Flamethrower Fuel, purchase the second upgrade for the Plasma Cutter from the store (others are available for other weapons), use the two upgrades we have on our Plasma Cutter unlocking more slots for power nodes including two special ability slots for Heat Accumulator and Cartridge Rack, and die 2 times in the centrifuge (Total Death Count: 3).

After heading back to the tram, save and go to mission 4. It will unlock then.
