How to unlock the Well Prepared achievement in Deadliest Warrior Battlegrounds - Definitive Guide
I do not have the equipment to record a video myself, but I have linked someone else's video on the PC version who got pretty far. While the person in the video did not succeed, it at least lets you know what to expect when you attempt it yourself.
It took me a while but I unlocked this after reaching the 4th room of the "Gauntlet" when in training mode. Approach the closed doors in front of you as you load into Training mode and press to open them. Prepare yourself for rooms with progressively harder enemy setups
I ended up going with the Samurai using the Naginata (unlocked at rank 10) and bow at the time. The samurai's club weapon also works well as it does more damage but lacks reach.
General tips:
- Any class could theoretically be used but I find that "tankier" warriors with more health and armor like the Samurai, Knight, or Viking seem to work the best.
- Play defensively. Let the bots attack you then block. This will open them up for attacks and not put yourself at risk of counter attacks.
- To combo your attacks, attack again when you are in the middle of your swing. You will attack faster overall and can end up stun locking opponents if you are using a fasters weapon. It does not have to be the same attack either. A combo of horizontal swing > overhead swing > stab +
- You can rest after completing a room to regenerate your health and stamina.
- Ammo does not appear to regenerate between rooms. So try not to rely on projectile/thrown weapons
Room 1 enemies:
2x Melee (Spartan and Samurai)
The fight does not start until you round the corner.
1. I played defensively and moved around a lot to keep the bots getting in each others way.
2. Rest/heal before advancing to the next room.
Room 2 enemies:
2x Melee (Knight and Viking)
1x Ranged (Samurai with a bow (unlimited ammo)) The bow samurai stays in the back of the room and does not appear to come after you.
The fight does not start until you go around the corner.
1. I ended up poking my character around the corner to lure the knight and Viking to the entrance of room 2.
2. Like before, I played defensively and moved around a lot to keep the bots getting in each others way.
3. Once the melee enemies are dead, you can either shoot the bow samurai with ranged attacks or rush at it to get into melee range to finish it off that way.
4. Rest if needed before heading to the next room.
Room 3 enemies:
4x Melee (2 Ninjas, 1 Spartan, and 1 Samurai)
1x Ranged (Pirate with a pistol (unlimited ammo))
The the Ninjas spawn to the left and right of you as you enter the room. The Spartan and Samurai will reach you within ~5-10 seconds of entering the room. The pirate will keep its distance and try to shoot you throughout the fight.
I found that following steps worked best:
1. Run to the left as soon as you enter the room and killing that Ninja quickly.
2. The Ninja from the right side will soon be there so turn around and kill the second Ninja quickly.
3. At this point, the Spartan and Samurai were approaching from the right side of the room, The pirate now also becomes at threat at this point as well.
4. While being mindful of the pirate's position, try and keep moving around the large room so that there is always something blocking the pirates shots (a wall, bridge, etc...)
5. Use the same strategies when dealing with the melee enemies as you did the 2 previous rooms. (ex: play defensive, be mobile so that enemies get in each other's way).
6. With all the melee threats now dead, you have a chance to rest and heal if you were hit, Just hide behind something so that the pirate cannot shoot you.
7. Carefully approach the pirate from cover. A pirate's gun can do 50%+ damage to you or in some rare cases kill you in one hit if it was a headshot.
8. Kill the pirate.
9. As usual, rest before heading to the 4th room.
The achievement unlocked for me at this point. Fights beyond this point do not appear to give any special rewards or XP.
Please let me know if you have any comments, feedback, or other solutions and I can incorporate them into the above.

This really is the only single player achievement for this game (as well as the only difficulty based achievement) and it seems pretty daunting if you go for it right off the bat- so dont, get some multiplayer experience first.
Objective: clear the 3 rooms in front of you, after you enter the 4th room the achievement will unlock.
Tips: you need some good fighting skills to overcome the odds against you in each room. Find what method works best for you. My method is to never block and always run in and attack the first person head on. Let your attack finish just as you meet and you will almost always get the first hit in. Then follow up with 2 more attacks and evade to the side when they attack, you get the kill. On average enemies can take 3 consecutive hits before they die. Knights and samurai average taking around 4 and purates and ninjas can sometimes only take 2. On day 2 of this game i had 730 kills with the samurai and 170 deaths using this method.
First room: charge in and evade a good bit then pick off 1 oppenent at a time, you have to kill a spartan and a samurai here. Whenever you go into a room you cannot go back out of that room, only forward once you cleared the enemies.
Second room: this is the easiest room in my opinion. Run to the left in the room and wait behind the pole. Lure the viking and the knight to you while blocking the samurais arrows with the pole. Make quick work of the viking first then the knight. Hide behind the pole to regain your health then deal with the samurai.
Third room: you have 5 guys to kill in this room, 2 ninjas, a spartan and a samurai and a pirate. Rush to a ninja first and kill him in 2 hits. Then run to the other ninja and try to kill him in 2-3 hits. Now evade some of the spartans and viking attack still by the door area and counter and focus on one enemy at a time. Once you kill both of those evade the bullet from the pirate and run up to him n easily kill him. Proceed to the fourth room and upon entry youll get your achievement.
If you are struggling with anything please feel free to comment or message me and would love to help you instead of just giving me a negative vote, thanks and good luck!
