How to unlock the Goodbye stranger achievement in Deadlight - Definitive Guide

For this you don't really need to use a railing, but any object that a shadow can crawl over. Once you locate a shadow, get them close to the item you wish to knock them over, then start attacking them with the axe. If you knock the shadow over the item, this will unlock. It can be a box, railing, car or other objects such as filing cabinets. The video below will show you an example from the start of the playoff chapter where you find the shotgun.

This worked right away, and was at the beginning of the stage. (Making it quick to get to).

To clarify the text in the video a bit, the scene "Playoff" is in Act 2.

I found that the shadow had to be facing me. It does not work if you are begin them.

I had some problems with this cheevo at first but then I came across the perfect scenery for this achievement.

In Scene 2.8. "Lydia" you need to escape from the chopper in the first part. Once you get inside the office bulding after the chase you will encounter two lone shadows. Kill the first one quickly. Now you are head to head with your achievement shadow.

Kick in the door to your right and you will have a ledge with a railing right behind it, lure the shadow to the railing, get to the left side of it and just hit the "B" button to push it over the ledge.

Achievement unlocked :D

Hope this helps other Gamers who first struggled with it.

You meant 'scene' not 'scenery' surely.

Maybe mention you need to hold the left stick toward the enemy and press B.

My shadow wouldn't go down for some reason but it's right near a checkpoint so if you kill it by accident just die and try again.

Also, I feel as though the shadow has to be moving towards you (i.e if you push it's back it keeps stumbling into the railing. at least that's what it did for me.) as soon as I let it get up and turn towards me, I pushed, and it fell over the railing.

This can be done in a few places, but the one that makes most sense is on Act 2 Scene 8 (Lydia). You will obtain a fire axe on this scene. Once you do, break the lock and kill the first enemy you see. Continue past the other ignoring it. Break the other door down and get the enemy over near the railing. Get on the left side of it and push it until it falls over the railing.

Push the enemy so that he falls over any obstacle.

Easy to get after you put out the fire, you will find yourself in a dilapidated house, in the room with a TV there will be a zombie standing with his back to you by the window. Immediately approach him so that he does not have time to move far from the window and hit him with a regular blow or push him - he will fall out of the window. If it doesn't work, you can reload the checkpoint.

Wait for the zombie to climb over the obstacle to your side and into this moment push it. He will roll over to the other side.
