How to unlock the Baby, You're a Firework achievement in DEATHLOOP - Definitive Guide

This was the only one i was missing because it didnt unlock the first time through. For anyone that ran into this issue and wants to get it without resetting your progress this is what worked for me. Disconnect your xbox from the internet, delete your local save file. Start the game up go to options and turn on infinite reprises and one shot kills and start the game. It will be like you havent played yet, making you do the tutorial and stuff again. Just run through everything until youre at the point where you can start killing visionaries and just focus on doing this quest line. I sped through it all in about an hour to an hour and a half. Complete the quest line, leave the area, watch the cutscene. Close the game and delete your save file again. After that you can reconnect to the internet and launch the game. The achievement should pop by the time you get to the main menu and you will have your old save still since it will sync the cloud save.

worked for me, also was able to get a couple of the non story achievements that wouldn't unlock also. Don't know if this happened to anyone else, but don't turn off your Xbox if you do this. I ended up going to bed and when I turned my Xbox back on I couldn't play the game offline anymore. I had to delete my save, reconnect to Xbox Live, & start the game again so I was signed in to access the game. I disconnected and started the game again with no problems, and as long as I didn't turn off my Xbox, I could close the game and restart it after the game crashed a couple of times.

Will deleting the local save file cause any permanent loss of progression? The story related achievements are literally the only ones I have left and they didn't count on my first playthrough. Of course I could just reset Colt if nothing works but I want to know if this method works on Series X.

Yes, I'm on series x and it works. No, you won't permanently lose progression. However, make SURE it's local only. If you delete from everywhere, it's gone for good. But if you're disconnected from the internet that won't even be an option. Just do like the guide says, disconnect the internet and make sure all the deleting is done offline. Once you reconnect your cloud save will sync and you're good to go. But make sure you delete the save again once you've met the requirements before you reconnect to the internet or it might overwrite your cloud save since the local will be the more recent save and then your progress will be permanently gone.

Worked like a charm. Definitely upvoting this guide. Hope other people can also use this guide to 100% this buggy game.

Glad it helped. Guess it could be used for any of the story ones that bugged. Fun enough game but holy crap I wish developers could figure out how to put out games without broken achievements

Bad Syka, I've seen others suggest that as well but i played online the whole time. Luckily this was the only one that bugged for me. Plus of offline mode blocked achievements then theoretically this workaround would not work, since you're offline during it. I think sadly the game's achievements are just really buggy like too many games these days.

Solid work around, I popped this and my glitched death is in the air achievements.

Ok @BlackxRyan so what's the point of going offline and online again ? Just doing the quest line again on new game plus ? 😄

Not on NG+, on a new save. You redo the questline and when you go back online, the achievements should unlock. I had 2 bugged story achievements and it worked for me.

Wow this took ages and many times of trying it, but the method that worked for me was to finish it and watch the cut scene and once that was finished go straight to manage game and delete save and load it back up and go through the last part again and it unlocked straight away

This is not a fix, but maybe it's a root cause : I had some buggy cheevos that started popping after I turned the online mode (not *right* as I turned it, get me right on this) . I had the Dead Drop achievement bugged, and so was this one.
The "Baby You're a Firework" didn't popped up once I sabotaged the fireworks in Karl's Bay. I was in "Friends Only" mode.
I decided to quit the game, meaning it'd reset my progression through morning Karl's Bay, and move forward for a whole day.
This process allowed me to play morning Karl's Bay one more time with an Online setting and the Frank quest line not finished.
As soon as I started my game, I got tracked by a human player Julianna and after killing her, I looted her Residuum and unlocked the Dead Drop achievement after 20 hours playing.
Then, I finished Frank's quest one more time and tadaaa chevoo unlocked.

TL,DR : Offline mode and only friends mode might block some achievements

“The Ballad of Ramblin’ Frank” is a Visionary lead questline that will show in your information hub after you’ve completed the lead called “Chaos Theory.” “Chaos Theory,” a questline that will appear in your options menu after you’ve done the prologue, will see you travel to Karl’s Bay in the morning and follow-up on Harriet. In said mission you’ll learn about Frank and his fireworks, which will of course trigger the questline tied to this achievement.

There is a slight difference to killing Frank though, as you’ll need ClassPass to get into Frank's building. ClassPass gives you access to ClassPass doors throughout Blackreef, but at the expense of all your Slabs' abilities. While there is a ClassPass dispenser outside of Frank's club in Fristad Rock (in the morning), if you want to make this easier and disable ClassPass for the building then you have to make a few slight adjustments. First things first, use the ClassPass dispenser at the front door and instead of heaing inside, head back to the tunnel and go to Updaam, more specifically Charlie’s place (this strategy will allow you to get Power Chord (15G) as well).

Once you’ve crossed the bridge to Charlie's place, fight through the courtyard and then as you face the front door, jump up to the left and head around the outside of the building. Do this until you get to a small underpass. About midway through the underpass you'll notice a ClassPass door on your right, and through said door you'll find the code for disabling the ClassPass system, thus making Frank’s club easier. Once you have that, leave the map and restart the day until the next morning.

Heading back to Fristad Rock, first thing in the morning, instead of getting the ClassPass and going in through the front door, this time you're going to want to head left, down onto the coast, and then follow it around. When you get to the side of the club, Shift up to the roof, then sneak round to the back and drop down. There you will see a hole in the rocks, midway up, which you can climb through and after kicking the vent you'll be next to the ClassPass mainframe machine. Input the code and everything will open for you. All you need to do then is fight through the club until you reach Frank and then kill him - preferably with a Slab power so you can get Power Chord (15G) on your first run.

Once in, and Frank is dead, and after you’ve rifled through his things, you’ll have to head to Updaam in the morning to find Otto’s Workshop. There, you’ll have to follow five cables, shoot the power mains to stop Otto's Workshop from blowing up, and then returning in the afternoon to get a keycode for the fireworks stash in Karl’s Bay.

Then, to finish off this questline, head there, unlock the container and choose the option to mess with the flaps. Once you’ve done that, achievement unlocked.
