How to unlock the Clean-ish Hands achievement in DEATHLOOP - Definitive Guide

This achievement is earnt at the end of Deathloop, once you've completed all visionary leads and have Aleksis, Egor and Wenjie join the Updaam party. To make this easier on yourself, enable Infinite Reprisal's, One Shot Kills and set Loop Stress to Minimal in the Gameplay Options menu.

My loadout was made up of "Tribunal" (Silenced) weapon, "Aether" slab with "Flicker" & "Erase" upgrades, "Shift" slab with "Airborne" & "Reach" upgrades.

With infinite lives enable we can run directly towards each target, ignoring all Ethernalists. Just ensure you don't shoot an Ethernalists and this is a breeze. It's fine if they accidently kill themselves on traps, paint bombs etc. these don't affect the achievement unlocking.

Karl's Bay (Morning)
Sabotage the Fireworks to kill Frank.
One shot Harriet in Hanger 2.

The Compound (Noon)
At Egor's experiment, deploy a Nullifier and enter the code.

Fristad Rock (Afternoon)
One shot both Charlie and Fia in Bunker 9.

Updaam (Evening)
One shot Aleksis, Egor and Wenjie.
Exit the level via the Rakyetoplan (Rocket).

When given the choice to join or kill Jullianna. Ensure you shoot her to finish the loop and the achievement will pop.

Took me 2 attempts and I had the paint bomb guys blow up on my failed attempt too (I also shot out turrets, though). Second attempt was a success, and I was careful not to shoot any turrets or have paint bomb guys blow up.

I am baffled at how I unlocked this, but didn't get the story achievement "One Perfect Day".

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad this one unlocked, and I wanted to add that in the run I did only one Eternalist died. Which was one of the guys on the sea-side of the dry dock fooling around with the tank of gas. So enemies killing each other is not an issue.

Because I found I died a lot trying to just run to the Visionaries I started stealthing everything to get to Harriet so it was easier to shoot just her. If you'd like to do the same, read on (I am assuming you're pretty familiar with this map by now):

Using Aether with Flicker and Ghost (which makes it so you don't break it when you attack and it doesn't consume energy unless you move with the left stick, attack or use Shift) and Shift with Reach and Airborne you can move up the beach behind the first two guys then when you get to the staircase, go up the rocks on the right. Use Aether to move over and past the autoturret and guard sitting at this end of the top of the dry dock doors. Drop to the beach below, obviously keep behind cover as you go since there are two enemies down here, and then let Aether renew. These are the guys with the gas cannister I mentioned, while they're talking, use Aether to crouch past them (the trinket that makes you move faster when crouched is essential).

Look to the left and you can go under the docks here. If you go into the first opening it puts you into Hangar 1, so just keep going past it for now. Very shortly you'll come to another opening and this leads into Hangar 2 from under the floor. You might've already guessed that it's filled with gas (oddly there's an audio log there as well). If you have the Steel Lungs trinket, especially the purple one which makes gas heal you, it is essential here.

Go into the opening and to the left, then right and it will end with an opening above you. Use Aether, but then switch to Shift and jump up out of the hole, but don't move yet. You will be just below the catwalk to the left of the front of the plane where Harriet is giving her speech. Look for a roll-up door that's only partially open (it's in the same direction as the front of the plane, but to its left) and Shift inside it and hug the wall to your right.

Once there (you'll likely have to let your energy recharge), look up and find the broken end of a staircase and Shift up there. The door on your right leads into the room where Harriet is giving her speech. She has two guards with her, so use Aether before going in the door and line her up with a silenced weapon. As soon as you shoot her (you'll still be invisible for second or two before the guards will see you despite Aether, so get out of the room immediately) move back out the door and drop off the staircase to the area below. Hopefully you are still invisible and will stay that way if you stop moving.

Wait until everybody calms down and then recharge your energy. Look back toward the hole you used to get in and use Aether before switching to Shift and get back over to it and work your way back out. You can now use the other opening I mentioned earlier to get up into Hangar 1 and make your way to Frank's fireworks...

You do not have to shoot Jullianna. I still unlocked this achievement, as well as the final story achievement.

I accidentally killed an eternalist on the final level. Quit out and reloaded and the achievement popped upon finishing the level.

This one and play it again, cole are bugged for me. Did it now 5 times. 2 times completly sneaky and 3 times fast as possible but no achievement

I've got this one, but the one for completing a map killing only Visionaries won't unlock.

It's maddening because they're almost the same achievement.

Can confirm you can decide not to shoot Julianna at the end of the game and still get this achievement (Though I did kill her in the morning when she started hunting me)

Julianna invaded, but I just ran to Rakyetoplan and killed her there.

I ran around the final level alerting everyone, set off the mines in the cellar, died multiple times, and finally found and shot Aleksis. Maybe I got lucky and no one died from the mines, but the achievement popped after shooting Juliana.

Just got on recently to see and nope still buggy for me, I’m stuck at 50/58.

Most are mission based, one is using the rocket to kill the visionary and last 3 are cleanish hands, no empty slots kill visionary and leave and as Julianna disguise yourself as colt.

For anyone finding this one bugged, for me it was the paint bomb eternalists in the first level that was breaking it.

When killing Harriet, enter the hanger from the roof, you can get to the roof via the smaller roofs in between the two hangers. Entering from the roof means you only need to avoid one of the paint bomb goons. I also turned off the gas after killing her.

If you hear the firework sound of a paint bomb baddie, return to menu and start again.

Thanks for all your guides on this game, you made it a breeze! I must have gotten awful lucky with this game because I did not have anywhere near as many glitchy achievements as others seem to have had.

Just fyi: I read somewhere that when one of your hacked turrets kills someone, you'll still get the achievement. That was NOT true for me. Had to run the loop again after one killed an eternalist by accident.

I got this on my second try and I did not choose to kill Julianna. I also did not have to "save" Amador or the 2 guys on the shore with the gas tank at Karl's Bay, according to some of those who tried. However, I did play more stealthily to avoid hordes of Eternalist ganging up on me.

Got it in my first try, enemies exploded in Karl's Bay and in updam I quit to the main menu and came back and still unlocked the achievement.

Took me 4 attempts, I think the issue was that in the morning I had an eternalist or 2 blow themselves up with paint bombs... cause that is the only thing I was very careful to avoid on my last try.

Can confirm that if you mess up at any point (in my case I misidentified Aleksis a couple of times), you can quit and then start on the same day fresh without voiding the achievement.

Just do whatever you have to do on that level according to the achievement. Luckily, that's the "restart checkpoint" of this game.

Here we are, folks! The biggie! And the last achievement you’ll likely go for! Let’s run you through loadouts first before we move onto anything else.

First things first, we’re all about mobility with our setup here. The achievement requires you only kill Visionaries and no Eternalists, so combat trinkets are useless for the most part, and will only matter for the Visionary kills. And bear in mind, this isn’t a ghost run either. You can be seen, you just have to hide and reset when you are. For the most part though, you’re going to want to treat it as a ghost run, to make your life easier. A few things before we move on: be careful not to set turrets on Eternalists And if at any point you accidentally kill an Eternalist, just exit to main menu and then click ‘Break The Loop’ and you’ll be able to start that map you were on without having to do the ones you’ve already done in that loop.

Right! In terms of builds, you’re going to want to go with Shift (with Airborne and Reach upgrades, for distance and mobility) and Aether (with Flicker and Ghost upgrades, so you can hide in plain sight). On top of that, in terms of character trinkets, you’re going to want to equip Juiced Up to boost your power, and Renewable to boost its regeneration. Creeping Death is handy too, to make you quieter, and double jump, for more mobility.

Weapons wise, it’s your call, really, but I was a big fan of HALPS and the Sepulchra Breteira with “Coiled Snake,” which allowed me to charge up my sniper shots for extra damage. With Aether’s Ghost and Flicker upgrades, you can basically stand in the open and line up super charged headshot from a rooftop, which more often than not killed a Visionary. And if it didn’t, I’d still be invisible after I’d taken my shot because I'm not moving, so could take and line up another right after. Now you’re set! Let’s run you through the schedule of what to do and when (and how) – and having already done a loop, you should be more than aware of what’s to come.

Karl’s Bay – I found coming out the right entrance and sticking to the beach, using Aether to get past the goons down there was the best way to make it to the fireworks container unsighted (and avoiding the turret). Then, use the code, Jam the Rain Flaps, and then sneak into the hangar that connects to Harriet’s hangar. The left-hand side has a few easy Shift holes that make getting to the top super easy.

When in Harriet’s hangar, Shift up into the rafters, down onto the plane, and through the lasers. Recoup your energy, sneak downstairs and then power a headshot on Harriet while using Aether. One should do it. If not, be careful and wait for another chance to line up another headshot. When dead, exit the way you came in.

The Complex – Slightly trickier than normal, this, because of the Eternalists that surround the machine. But basically, you need to grab a nullifer to uncover the machine, and then disable it, then retreat so they lose track of you. When they’ve gone back to their normal patrols, use Aether to get in and put in the code into the machine and hit the button. Then, head to the right for an easy exit.

Fristad Rock – You’re probably going to want to switch out Aether for Nexus here (just for this mission), so your kill on Charlie and Fia presents no issues. You could, however, keep Aether instead of Nexus and flood the chamber instead. Your call. If you’ve flooded the chamber before and know the route out, then that’s perhaps your safest bet because you can use Aether to get in undetected. And more importantly, out undetected too!

Updaam – And finally, thanks to Ghost At The Feast (25G), we’re already pretty prepared for this. You should have your stealthy route in, your way to silently kill Aleksis (as per Alpha Burger (15G)) and then you should know the location of Egor and Wenjie. The difference here though is that you won’t have Nexus, you’ll have Aether instead, so you’ll have to kill them the old-fashioned way: with a gun. The powered shot from the sniper rifle and Aether will keep you hidden for killing one. You will just have to wait for things to settle before you kill the final target.

And finally: make sure [SPOILER] you choose to kill Julianna and jump off the platform, otherwise you won’t get this achievement (because both you and Julianna are Visionaries).

Buggy

This is one of the hardest and trickiest trophies of the game. To get this, you must complete the mission "Ending it!" without killing a single Eternalist. You can be spotted anytime but don't kill anyone. This sounds hard but if you know what to do and how to do it, it becomes doable.  There are reports about this trophy being buggy but it's not clear if it's really buggy or there was something that went wrong. In order to avoid many replays, just take note of some hazards that can ruin your run:
  • Eternalists killing each other once they spot you: It's not clear if this can be count as a "kill". Try to avoid being spotted as much as possible and in case try to run and hide as quick as possible, so the Eternalists will not shoot many bullets.
  • Exploding Eternalists: This is another big hazard. It seems proven that if an Eternalist explodes, it will ruin your run. The best thing to do is to leave them alone, avoiding them and trying to not be spotted from anyone when there are any of them near.
  • Eternalists killed by anyone without spotting you: Another unclear situation is when there are Eternalists killed by others not because of you (e.g. killed by Harriet's gas or killed during Aleksis party). Probably, they will not count as a "kill", so you should have no problem with them. 
  • Egor's Residuum: To get this trophy, you don't need to take the Residuum from the Visionary. However, there are some reports online that say that the trophy unlocked when people absorbed Egor's residuum. if you have any troubles, just try to do this.
  • Exit Main Menu: if you accidentally kill an Eternalist, you can exit to the main menu and then continue. The kill won't count and you don't need to replay all the other districts again.
You can use whatever loadout you prefer, depending on your skills and your preferences.
Once you're ready, follow this steps:
  1. Karl's Bay, Morning: Sabotage Frank's fireworks and choose "Jam the Rain Flaps". Now, sneak into Hangar 2 (WARNING: 2 Exploding Eternalists inside Hangar 1!!!) and make your way down to Harriet, killing her while making sure you don't hit any Eternalists. You can kill her in any way you like, just be cautious. Exit through the door behind Harriet and then sneak your way to the exit.
  2. The Complex, Noon: Sneak to Egor's Camp, grab a nullifier and reveal the device when you know the area is safe, then remove the battery from the nullifier so you can use your slabs and hide. When you think you're safe, go back to the device and enter your code then push the button to turn it off. Exit the district.
  3. Fristad Rock, Afternoon: Sneak your way to Fia's and Charlie's meeting and kill them the way you like: one bullet or using the lever to drown both of them. Leave the District (WARNING: 1 Exploding Eternalist in the area with the tunnel's door!!!).
  4. Updaam, Evening: Aether and Shift are vital here due to the large number of enemies. Sneak into Aleksis's house and kill him the same way of Alpha Burger trophy_bronze.png (you can use any other ways, this is only the safest). Now, Shift to the roof and kill Egor and Wenjie. Aim for Egor first, as he can use Aether, becoming harder to find. Once you kill him, back out to a safe place and hide until eternalists will stop searching for you. Now, exit from the hideout and kill Wenjie. You'll also be notified that Frank has died during the process. After the four are dead, make your way to the Rakyetoplan and launch
  5. Now that you're with Julianna, choose to kill her and then kill yourself. Any other endings, will not count for this trophy!

It is enough to simply kill all the ideologists; the deaths of enemies through no fault of yours (for example, the character who drowns in a gas cloud in Harriet) do not count. If you accidentally killed someone, you don’t have to start all over again, go to the main menu and continue playing, this rolls back the last time of day.

Actually, I had a cycle without Juliana at all. And in the end I didn’t kill her (as advised in the video), because I did it on the previous playthrough and wanted to see a different ending. And the trophy fell

You can run away from Juliana, it does not affect the trophy.

If someone, like me, has a problem with the fact that you do everything, but the trophy does not fall out, I don’t know if this is a bug or a feature, but the trophy only appeared for me when I did not re-enter the game, that is, I completed everything on one breathing without leaving the main menu without restarting the game (for example, if you wanted to “reset” the level and go through it cleaner)

I ran into the breach, ignoring all the residents on my way, thugs with grenades and explosives exploded and died on their own - trying to kill me. As a result, he killed all 7 ideologues, ran to the rocket plane and chose not to shoot Julianna - prize counts.
PS I did it in one go without leaving the game and at one time.

The most buggy mission is the evening downtown and three goals. Just like in the trophy where you have to kill them using stealth. Following the video guide from the first tip, I do not recommend going to the mixer, because... Even when entering the correct numbers on the mixer, the game often bugs and while on the air, enemies on the dance floor shoot up to the red icon.
Immediately go upstairs to the stand-up club, wait for Alexis - this is a dude with two golden machines and he will be fourth in line (after the woman in pink), throw it into the meat grinder, and then follow the guide for Egorka and Wenjie

For those who are having difficulty getting out in 2023. I only had a perfect passage for the 5th time, with the condition that you need to kill Juliana twice (when she breaks in and at the end of the game) and collect the presidium from Vendze and Egor. I don’t know why this is so, I myself didn’t understand why the achievement didn’t appear, although I did it according to the guide and according to stealth, everything was ideal. But it happened only the last time, under the conditions described above.

He didn’t kill anyone himself; those who died from explosions or by accident did not interfere. The most important thing, attention, DO NOT RESTART THE LEVELS! You need to go through the loop from the beginning to the end, even if you mess up somewhere, go to the end and start the day again, with the murder of Harriet. The trophy will drop if you simply do not kill anyone with shots, hands, machetes, grenades and turrets.
Set up additional settings so you don’t have to worry:
Endless reprises
One shot death
Loop voltage is low.
Briefly how it went:
1. I was burned at Hariet’s, there are bugs there when you fly onto the wing of an airplane in the hangar to enter through the lasers. Something exploded below, a couple of suicide bombers also exploded - it had no effect. Hariet came running to me - I killed her with a pistol with a silencer. Then he went down, just in case he pressed the up button to save Amador and lowered the lever, which removes the gas. (I don’t know if this affects the trophy or not) Then I quickly ran to Frank’s warehouse and cut the wires. Juliana did not intrude. Left.
2. I ran headlong, immediately took the suitcase from Frank’s laboratory, used it at the panel and entered the code. I was fired upon, shot at, killed, I was beaten and dumped after entering the code.
3. Quickly into the bunker to Fia and Charlie, one bullet and the other a bullet, jumped into the water, drowned and I was thrown back to the entrance of the bunker. He ran to the exit.
4. I ran along the left side, through a candy store, climbed through a hole, under a billboard (broken, there was a wooden frame), to the left of Alexis’s fortress. The first time, for some reason, they didn’t give me the trophy, maybe because in the evening I ran away from Julianne when she invaded the level. On the second attempt in the evening I also killed the invading Julianne, and they gave me the trophy. Perhaps it was just a coincidence and in the first attempt I did not notice how I accidentally caught one of the residents when killing the ideologists.

I replayed it three times. In the settings I set kills with one bullet. I walked with a pistol with a silencer.
The first time a suicide bomber exploded (they run at you and explode) - they didn’t give a trophy
The second time I shot at the turret and blew it up - they didn’t give me the trophy
The third time I made sure that the suicide bombers wouldn’t notice me, I didn’t destroy the turrets. He didn’t kill Juliana, who showed up at the party that evening (but I don’t think it affected anything). At the end he killed her and jumped down himself - they gave him a trophy

I passed it 6 times without killing anyone, it didn’t drop out, I read foreign forums and tried to pass it like this.
1.did not kill the invading Julian
2. At the party I picked up rezdium from Wenjie and Egor (they wrote that this was a bug and that it was necessary to pick up)
3. Killed Giuliana at the end and got caught up in Roskomnadzor

Only after that the achievement was issued

More useful things. When you install a neutralizer to see the dashboard that cuts off the antenna, you can immediately turn off this neutralizer, go into Invis and then click the panel in Invis. It seems like no one has written about this here.

I played it in single player mode and set it to kill with one bullet. The kit included ether + teleport . I managed to pass on the second try. Julianne only spawned in the morning, when Harriet was killed. I didn’t touch Julianne; I left the location and turned off the tower.
When you follow Harriet, go in stealth through the “service storeroom”, further forward and to the left along the drain and under the wall make your way to Harriet. If everything was done correctly, then she will be a floor higher than you. In the room with her, it is better to first open the door for a tactical retreat, and then start killing. Actually, with the broadcast on, kill her and, just in case, run up to the nose of the plane, there on the left side turn off the button (it disables killing the NPC hanging on the cable) and on the right you can turn on the switch. At least that’s what I did, everything worked out for me.
All other locations can be done according to the guide, except that it’s better to actually take the residium from Venztse and Egorka.
The first time I tried to go through the “friends only” mode, but Julianna never spawned there, most likely that’s why the trophy was not counted.

The trophy is much simpler than it might seem, it takes about 30 minutes. And now more about the trophy itself:
1. To get it, you don’t need to go through the stealth loop, just run past the enemies.
2. If Juliana invades, it is not necessary to kill her, just hack the antenna and escape.
3. You don't have to kill Juliana at the end, any ending will do.

Tips to make the passage easier:

Charles Bay (Morning)
Displacement and Affect bars are your best friends + I recommend taking a shotgun with you. By shifting we quickly get to the fireworks control panel, there we already activate Affect and calmly damage the cords. Next, we run to the second hangar, use Displacement to pass through the booby traps, quietly make our way to the lower level to Harriet, activate Affect and simply throw it in her face. We run back with full sail, and when necessary we activate Affect.

Complex (Noon)
Here we will need Displacement and Ether ingots with an improvement for infinite invisibility while we stand still. We quickly run to Egor’s booth, break the window on the second floor, take the neutralizer and run under the Ether to an invisible computer. We activate the neutralizer and immediately turn it off (or remove the battery). We stand in Invis and calmly enter the required combination. In tone, you can return right next to Egor’s booth.

Fristad Rock (Afternoon)
The best choice would be the Displacement and Plexus ingots, and for weapons I recommend the legendary sniper (I don’t remember the name). We rush at full speed to Charlie and Fia's bunker, go through all the puzzles there and go down the elevator shaft to the very bottom. As soon as we see our targets, we send them a Plexus and shoot one of them in the head with a previously prepared snipe (for this method of elimination you will also receive another ).

Downtown (Evening)
We take the same set as in the previous mission. On the left side of the location we make our way to Alexis’s castle. First, we go to the stand-up club and throw Alexis into the meat grinder. We quickly leave the club through the upper door. From the door we immediately climb onto the roof and run to Wenjie and Yegor. We carefully connect the two of them with a weave while they are nearby, the main thing is not to take the distribution improvement, so as not to catch neighboring NPCs. As soon as these two are tied up, we shoot one of them in the head with the same sniper. And then, despite the security, we run to the RAC and get into the rocket plane.

Well, that's all, after any ending you will get this trophy .
