How to unlock the The Day the Music Died achievement in DeathSpank - Definitive Guide

Alright this one is about 25-50% through the game. You'll eventually be given a quest to get some orphans in the town of pluckmuckel. If you follow the path east of the pluckmuckel outhouse, you'll eventually come to a fork. Pick the south path and continue on until you hit a gate. You'll need to enter the cave to the north to get the key.

The key is inside the cave off a demon. Once you go in the gate, follow the path, past the guy that gives you a quest to get packages, and then when you reach the fork, take the path north. You'll enter an orc camp, find sergeant orque and kill him. Achievement unlocked.

This fight is no where near the first half of the game. It's at least at the 2/3 mark.

I suppose it depends on when you decide to fight him. You can go straight to him after you get the quest to rescue the orphans if you really wanted to. To each his own...

Not quite straight to him, considering he's behind the locked gate, but even then calling that the 25% mark seems like a stretch.

Which is why I put 25-50%? It's certainly before the 75% mark unless you save the nearby orphan in the cave for last. Shrug.

I checked when I reached him - 42%. Hope that helps, althought it probably doesn't.

You'll find him toward the back of Camp Orqawanga (SE of Pluckmuckel; Name is marked on the map). He will not attack you until you go up and interact with him ("a" button), so I recommend clearing out all the people around him first. He is level 16. Besides his melee attack, he will also blow a horn to call in some reinforcement troops. They're only level 4's so they are more of an inconvenience than a threat. To make things easier, you can set the difficulty to easy (through the pause menu, under "help and options") You can also utilize orbs of invincibility and critical hit potions as well. I can't recall where you can buy orbs of invincibility, but you can buy critical hit and armor potions from bong's shop, across from the taco stand in pluckmucket. Also, make sure to alternate attacks as that increases damage and builds your justice meter faster. So just alternate strikes. I recommend also using one of the weapons whose justice meter function stuns enemies as it will freeze the level 4 troops leaving you to focus on the Sergeant (i.e. attack with "a,x,y,a,x,y" with a stun weapon equipped to the b button and used when the justice meter is full).

He can be found at Camp Orqawanga in the very back. Walk up to him and initiate conversation to start the fight. Finish him off and after he blows his final annoying note, the trophy will pop.

He is located at the top of Camp Orqawanga, which is situated southeast of Pluckmuckel and west of the Haunted Forest. There are a lot of enemies besides Sergeant Orque in the Camp, so try to kill everyone of them before you attack him. Although they probably won't attack you during the fight, you don't want to take the chance.

One of the first storyline bosses you'll face. He is level 16 and can take a punch. Like all enemies, if you leave the area, he will regenerate health and since he can hurt you somewhat fast, I suggest you have a lot of health potions on hand. They immediately give you health while the food is a timed replenishment process. Every so often he takes out a trumpet and calls out several level four foot soldiers. They're easy, but pests, so take them out as soon as he calls them!

The main thing is, to just keep hitting him with everything you've got and when you're health drops low, instantly give yourself a health potion. He is rather slow and has no ranged attack, so if you have no health potion but plenty of food, grab a bite and run around in his general area, but stay in his general area so he keeps chasing you. If he turns back and walks away, his health will regenerate to 100%.

Story trophy, impossible to miss.

You will come face to face with Sergeant Orc while rescuing orphans. The tactics with the boss are very simple - use magic orbits. Instead of hitting him and healing, just activate any powerful magic orbit. I used meteor shower and ran in circles while the rain damaged the orc. Two orbits, 30 seconds and the Orc is defeated.
