I just unlocked this and I DID NOT do them solo, nor back-to-back, start-to-finish.
I joined multiplayer games near the end and on my last game, we barely finished, and I was down, left behind, but 1 team member made it, and it counted.
So it may be adequate enough to join level 4 hazard games already in progress and hope it's a good team that can complete the mission successfully. Only 1 player needs to be in the drop pod for mission success, you just miss some extra XP for each player that makes it, but success is more important.
