How to unlock the Jeweler achievement in Deep Rock Galactic - Definitive Guide

Alright.

Around a 4% chance of spawning. I played for two weeks (normal haz 4 games, not trying to find them) and saw none.

How i got this fairly quickly is to run haz 1 simple mining expeditions on Salt pits, Radiation zone and the caverns. (easy to navigate) and speed run them. Should only be in a cave no longer then 10 minutes.(better if you have dark morkite, do them within 5min) I personally played as the driller so i can dig back to the pod fast and dig through the dirt fast as well.

Due to sheer probability i played around 120ish games doing this method(could be way less for you, i saw people get this in the first couple days. Or it can take way more then me). Didnt see any for a couple days, then got 4 within 3-4 hours. I find this is the most reliable way of farming for them. Don't mine anything else but the main objective(was also grinding for the solo games and host. This also works for the gold chunks, found 30-50 in one day)

They do spawn everywhere but i found 7/10 in the Crystalline Caverns. Sometimes right after the first dirt wall(can just leave after that and farm that way, found 2 or 3 right after the first dirt wall). i Found 1 in the salt pits joining a random game, 1 in the salts solo and one in the radiation zone. Soooooo im not saying im superstitious buuuuutttttt i feel like the caverns are the best bet. Was for me anyways, but again it all comes down to probability.

Good luck and Rock and Stone Brothers !

I have found tons and I know I’ve personally turned in more than 10 yet it still shows me at 50%. It’s been 6 months and the game still won’t give me more credit towards this achievement. What gives? Anyone else have this problem?

It seems every time they have an update it resets the counter. Pretty crappy for a game that regularly updates and an item that has such a low percentage of appearing.

Has this achievement bugged? Same with compressed chunks. Collected 3 gold chunks and a bitter gem in our last 2 sessions and no progress. Same with hosting missions achievement

Progress moved just fine for me yesterday. It ticks once you or a team member deposit the item into the MULE/rig/drop pod.

Could you take a minute and add to your guide and describe what a BITTERGEM is?
That should be the first sentence of a guide for this achievement.

Just for reference, Bittergems are the giant pink gems, so be on the lookout for a pink glow in the walls. According to the DRG wiki, they have a 1 in 21 (~4.76%) chance of spawning in ANY environment and mission type.

This took me 378 missions to get (I never tried "grinding" for them). My progress was thankfully never reset by any updates, but I didn't start playing until after Season 1 was released. Hopefully this means they figured out how to avoid reseting achievement progress going forward.

FYI you don't receive credit for a bittergem (or error cube or compressed gold chunk) unless you're in the match when someone turns it in. So if you find one in a public lobby and you want to be nice, wait until more players join before turning it in. That way they can make progress on their achievement too.

I've played almost 500 games and still haven't found my 10th one. The low spawning possibility is ridiculous.

If you're playing regularly this will likely pop naturally. If you're struggling, keep an eye out for small light purple/pink shards in the stone walls. Driller is perfect for quickly excavating resources like these.

In missions, we pay attention to the walls, floors and ceilings strewn with small pink fragments of stones. We dig in that place and get a pink nugget.

It is not necessary to complete the entire mission. It is enough just to throw an object into a moth or a rocket.

all 3 types of artifacts for trophies are knocked out of the rocks. Such places appear to be distinguished by light illumination and a cluster of luminous small crystals. Based on the cumulative statistics of completing trophies, everything collected by the team is taken into account, and not just by each individual. Therefore, it is more profitable to play in a full team.
