How to unlock the What IS that? achievement in Defense Grid 2 - Definitive Guide

To inspect an alien, place the cursor over an alien and push cn_B. Once you have done this 10 times you will earn this achievement. They don't have to be different kinds of aliens, I personally did this by inspecting every alien of 1 wave during the tutorial.

As with all other achievements in this game, you must complete the level for this to unlock.

Just for anyone in the near future my achievement didn't pop when I did this one. But when I checked it did unlock! :)

I think its probably something on the developers end. I believe the problem with MCCs achievements was so many people playing and having to verify with the 343 servers. Or at least, that's what I had heard it was. This influx of people on Defense Grid could be doing the same thing.

Just click circle on a Alien 10 times. Can be same type of alien, they dont need to be different.Trophie will pop at end of level.

You can inspect aliens by hovering over them and then pressing . Do this 10 times and this trophy will pop. This trophy is cumulative so it can be done over the course of different missions. Please note that the trophy won’t pop until after completion of the mission.

To inspect an alien, hover the pointer over them and press . This can be 10 different aliens or 10 aliens of the same type, and can be done across multiple games. It is easier to do so accurately if you are playing on Normal speed. The achievement will unlock at the end of the game in which you have inspected your tenth alien.

Hover over the alien and press the "Circle" button. Look at the 10th --> at the end of the mission the trophy is yours!
