How to unlock the Base Defender achievement in Defense Grid: The Awakening - Definitive Guide

The Awakening campaign has a total of 20 missions. Finish every mission with at least 1 core ( = Bronze medal) and the achievement is yours.
You only need to do the missions with the title "Story", the other missions are Challenges.
If you get a gold medal for some of the story missions it will count towards the Alien Tiers and the Master Strategist achievement:
The Alien Tears achievement in Defense Grid: The Awakening worth 67 pointsEarn at least a gold medal on all Story mode missions in The Awakening campaign.
The Master Strategist achievement in Defense Grid: The Awakening worth 112 pointsEarn a gold medal on at least 40 Story or Challenge mode missions in any campaign.
You only need to do the missions with the title "Story", the other missions are Challenges.

Never really cared for the "story" in this game.

While the fact that story mode mission titles have the word Story in them was useful information, I was expecting a little bit more info, maybe tactics or videos for the harder missions would've been helpful.

There are 20 missions you will have to go through. For good tactics to complete each mission, refer to Master Strategist
