This is unlocked once you level up for the first time and have access to your first EGO perk. To access the EGO grid, open your Start menu, then use until you get to the EGO grid. Perks you have access to will not be faded out and have to be adjacent to your EGO power. Pick one and add a point to it. Your achievement will unlock as soon as you add a point to the EGO perk.
