To unlock Powerful Ego, you must level a core ego power to max rank (level5). This requires an EGO rating of at least 400.
There are four core powers:
Stealth
Decoy
Overpower
Blur
You will choose one of these at the start of the game. You can respec at will (using scrip).
To earn the achievement, when you unlock EGO points, at every hundred interval ; 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 you can place an EGO point into the core power you have selected. As stated, you must do this five times, once at (least) every interval to hit level 5.
Any questions, just ask.

not sure if this is accurate anymore as i reached 402 ego just now and didnt earn any extra points to spend.

There are 4 main EGO perks, called EGO Powers. These are the large squares on your EGO Grid. (Decoy, Overcharge, Blur and Cloak). Each upgrade costs 1 EGO Unit, with a total of 5 upgrades. Each upgrade will require a higher EGO Rating. To completely upgrade an EGO Power you need to reach EGO Rating 400.

If you don’t feel like spending points on upgrading an EGO Power, wait until you have enough EGO Units and the required EGO Rating, go to your EGO Grid and hit 
to respec, which will cost your some scrip. Upgrade an EGO Power and respect back to your old build once you unlock the trophy.

This is unlocked by fully upgrading an EGO power (Stealth, Decoy, Overpower, Blur). To do this, you must first be at least at a 400 EGO rating. Open your EGO grid and add points to your EGO power until it reaches 5 points. At this point, your EGO power is fully upgraded and you have your achievement.
