How to unlock the Stargazer achievement in Deliver Us The Moon - Definitive Guide

You can get this easily by parking your rover and letting the 30 minutes run. The only downside is that the engine is still running, which is okay since it doesn't use fuel, but the vibration doesn't seem to stop, so your controller batteries might run low vibrating for that long.

Personally, I hopped out of the rover in 3-minute increments so that the clock ran while my controller didn't. (Edit: several people have commented that pressing the cn_guide button lets the clock run without the vibration. Thanks! toast)

It appears that this is NOT cumulative, at least insofar as leaving an area and coming back in.
I hopped in and out of the rover and it didn't seem to affect it. Still, I'd knock it all out during the first rover part. While you're waiting, go looking for the monolith from 2001, or the lunar lander for this one:

I literally tried everything. The game didn't turn it off, even after closing the game out and restarting, I went to controller settings, couldn't even turn it off from there, which seemed weird.

Pressing the guide button while in the rover keeps the time going and disables the vibration as well.

Mine doesn't want to unlock. Reloaded and sat outside for 30+ minutes. Edit: finished the game, reloaded this level and had to sit for additional 30 minutes for it to pop, but it did unlock.

Timed this and it unlocked at 30 minutes and 3 seconds. Not the 30 minutes like this guide says... your solutions are just misinformation. I swear you would lose your gold badge for solutions if all the wrong ones were removed. Fake news to the max. I'll be downvoting this crap all day. Just wasting my time with these amateurs... facepalm

Wow, the vibration is super annoying. What's the point of having an option in your game to turn it off when it doesn't work. Anyway, thanks for the guide, thumbs up from me!

For anyone being driven mad by the vibration like I was, I opened the Xbox Accessories app and configured a new profile for my controller with vibration disabled.

This isn't cumulative, I've had to have spent at least 25 minutes outside previously but it popped at almost 30 minutes exactly. Started at 6:30 and it popped at 7:00 on the dot. Cumulative would be nice- maybe they can put that in when they fix the Vibration not being able to be turned off. wink

Confirmed vertigo6932's idea about pressing Guide button to avoid vibration in the rover. Perfect

You can also go into your xbox settings and turn off controller vibration. Made it much more bearable. For some reason the game settings does give you the option to turn off vibration but it doesn't seem to work.

Believe it or not, I actually tried that too. I feel like a failure as an Xbox player.

Also turning off vibration in the xbox accessories app seems to work considering turning it off in the game settings doesnt seem to.

If you're streaming to you PC you can just turn your controller off and walk away. It doesn't pause the game either. It does pause the game if you stop streaming though.

If you go to the game settings, in the "Gameplay" section, there's an "Vibration" option so you can just turn it off from there...

Seems as of 6/3/20 that vibration stops when you are not actually using the accelerator, FWIW

Just turn off your controller vibration in settings... I haven't willingly used vibration on a controller since I was a kid. It is SO annoying.

Once you unlock the vehicle, you can drive outside of the garage and you will be “outside”. So all you have to do is drive or stand still in the vehicle for 30 minutes

So now I see two guides mentioned the excessive controllers vibration. One said to go home with the game running in the background and another said to turn off vibration with the Xbox accessories app.... I’m going to teach you guys how to do it the best and Fastest way...

So you’re going to need a torx t8 screw driver. Take your controller apart and disconnect the vibrators in the triggers and grips of the controller. Boom. Mind blown and problem solved. So I understand that people mention that the in game options can be glitchy while others think it doesn’t exist at all. This is why taking out your controller vibrators is most effective. /s

JK lmao just turn off controller vibration in the in-game settings. The option is located literally on the bottom of “gameplay”. Switch it from on..... to off. Lol

The description says it all, you can just park your vehicle outside and you do not need to drive it for 30 minutes.

If you get out of vehicle then the character won't survive for more than 3 minutes without Oxygen.

This achievement is not cumulative meaning that once you enter any tower or building, the timer resets and you will have to start all over again.

Now the real solution to the real problem i.e. VIBRATION :
While you are in the parked Vehicle, your controller will always annoyingly vibrate.

Either Turn off the Vibration in-game settings

OR

Goto Xbox dashboard then to Xbox Accessories App, Create a new controller profile, Turn vibration "OFF".

'VOILA! Get rid of the annoying vibration, not just for this part but for the whole game'

Bruh... you realize you can turn off vibration in the game settings right?

It’s literally under the gameplay settings

Here is my 100% Achievement guide for Deliver Us The Moon!

There are a few points where you drive outside in the game, but the earliest (And best point) to get this is in chapter 3 (Copernicus Moonhub).
Here, you will drive the Moon Rover for the very first time and have to venture outside.
Now it says what it does on the tin.. Just drive or wait around for 30 minutes until this unlocks!

Few things though, First, you can get the "Among The Stars" Achievement, for finding the movie set located if you follow the left monorail around once you exit the space hub.
Second, I personally didn't have an issue with vibrating, so was able to leave it (Even pressing the cn_RT button a few times so controller wouldn't turn off).
If you do have issues, either pressing the cn_guide button will work (As it continues to count down in game minutes).
Hopping in and out of the vehicle (You have enough oxygen that lasts 3 minutes)
Or go to your game settings and just turn vibration off.

Anyway, if you need to see a visual and where this unlocks go to 1:12:10 in my video.

Hope This Helps!

This one is nice and simple. Once you’ve obtained a moon vehicle and traveled out onto the surface of the moon during the Copernicus Moonhub chapter, simply bring yourself to a halt and wait for 30 minutes to pass in real time. You can do whatever you like - start preparing dinner, tidy the house, watch two thirds of an episode of Doctor Who - and when you come back 30 mins later, the trophy should unlock. Just make sure your console isn’t set to power down after fifteen minutes.

In any chapter, when you have the opportunity to be on the surface of the moon, you need to spend 30 minutes outside the lunar base. You can just sit in the lunar rover all the time. The time does not add up, so you need to complete 30 minutes in one go.

When you leave the base on the lunar rover to perform tasks with antennas, spend 30 minutes outside (being in the lunar rover also counts).
