How to unlock the History of Deponia achievement in Deponia - Definitive Guide

In Chapter 3, you need to view the lit mural windows in order - downstairs, upstairs left, upstairs right.

You need two things:
* Phosphorus cotton candy
* Soapy mop

In your starting room you need to turn on the cotton candy machine (Middle machine, plug behind the green thing to the left), then switch to the Phosphorus candy (green) with the switch on the left. Grab an anchovy on a stick from the right machine, then eat it to get a stick. Use the stick with the cotton candy dispenser to get Phosphorus cotton candy. Go out of the candy room, and upstairs at the back. Use the Phosphorus cotton candy with the light to charge it.

Exit to the right to get to the lift. Open the hatch on the right of the lift and pick up the mop, bucket and soap. Go back downstairs, and exit to the left outside. Go round to the water on the right. Use the bucket with the barrel of water. Open your inventory. Combine the bucket of water with the soap, then that with the mop to get a soapy mop.

Re-enter the building. On the first mural, open the hatch. Use the Phosphorus cotton candy with the hatch to illuminate it. Press cn_X to view the mural (1). Go upstairs. Repeat with the mural on the left (2). Then use the soapy mop with the dirty mural on the right, repeat the cotton candy steps and view the final mural (3).

The History of Deponia is offered to you using three mosaics. Two of them are in one piece, simply needing you to place the phosphor cotton candy into the slot underneath to get it to light up. The third, however, needs a little TLC. At the base of the elevator you can find a utility cabinet where soap, a bucket, and a mop are all found. Take the bucket to the green pool of water in the Tower area (noticeable with the actual green water), then combine the bucket with soap and then with the mop. Back in the concourse between the lobby and the elevator, use the cleaning item on the mosaic table, then use the phosphor cotton candy with the slot like the other two. Here, it will reveal the code needed for the elevator, but only if you solve the mosaic puzzle.

The trophy itself will pop as you're learning the last bit of Deponia history, and this puzzle can be skipped if you wanted. However, if you want to solve this like the rest, keep in mind that each of the colored pieces can only be socketed in one of four ways. Rotate the pieces and see if it fits any of the slots appropriately. Also, follow the weird symbols that seem to decorate the pieces too.

Use the glowing candy floss (green candy floss from the machine + lamp on second floor) on the three stained glass windows in order: first the one on the bottom, then go upstairs and do the one on the left, then the one on the right (you'll need to clean it first).

Missable!

In Act III, you will find three mosaics – one in the Lobby and two in the Concourse. In front of each is a hatch to put the glowing phosphor cotton candy (use the phosphor cotton candy with the lamp in the Concourse to make it glow). Once the mosaic is lit, have Rufus look at it to describe an event in Deponia history. Once you've looked at all three (one will need to be cleaned for story-progression), the trophy will unlock.

You can miss the trophy!
In the third act you can find 3 stained glass windows (colored mosaics on the wall). Near each of these stained glass windows there will be a hatch into which you can place glow-in-the-dark cotton candy (you will get it according to the story). After you install the cotton wool in the hatch and examine the stained glass, Rufus will tell a small piece of Deponia's history. Repeat this action with the other two stained glass windows and get the trophy

In the third act we go to the lobby. On the left there will be a bright lamp in the shape of a candy with white and green stripes - an illuminated vault. We use cotton wool on it. I strongly recommend making a manual save, because the game can get buggy and when you enter the lobby you will only see a dirty stained glass window on the right, and there is another one on the left! If this happens, load the save and go to the lobby again. You should see two stained glass windows! So, we go down below and see the first stained glass window. There is a door at its foot. We put the illuminated cotton wool inside, click on the stained glass window and listen to Rufus’ story, from which we learn that the Lift Station is depicted here. We take the cotton wool. We go to the right passage, the lobby. There are two more stained glass windows here. We insert cotton into the left one and find out that the scene is depicted about the rich and the poor. The stained glass window on the right is dirty and needs to be cleaned. We select a fragment near the left stained glass window. We go further to the elevator and take a bucket, soap and a mop from the janitor's drawer. We go to the tower courtyard and fill the bucket with water in the lower right corner. We return to the dirty stained glass window. We combine soap with a bucket, and then soapy water with a mop. We apply the result to the stained glass window. Place the cotton wool down and press on the stained glass window. Rufus will see the password and say that a piece is missing. But that doesn't matter anymore. At this point the trophy appears. If there is such a bug when you take a mop, but it is not in your inventory, load the save and immediately go get the tools.
