How to unlock the Power-Seeker achievement in Despicable Me: Minion Rush - Definitive Guide

Simple as this.... unlock all the power-ups such as Freeze Ray and Banana Splitter etc. you can find them all in the shop under items. And you have to unlock them bit by bit in level progression anyway

You do not need the golden power-ups however. If the achievement doesn't pop immediately go to the fruit icon at the top of the level loading screen and click on the achievements tab, there is should pop then as it did for me

Thumbs up. I clicked on the achievements tab and nothing happened, then I clicked on the fruit icon and the achievement popped. But I don't know if the achievement popping was a bit delayed or not.

For those who have gone far in the game but have failed to unlock this achievement, especially if you have played the very old versions of this, I have good news for you. You need to follow these steps:

1. Navigate to this path on your PC,
C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Packages
where "yourname" is whatever your user name is on your PC.
2. Locate this folder, "GAMELOFTSA.DespicableMeMinionRush_0pp20fcewvvtj" and make a backup of it.
3. Go to Settings -> Apps and look for Despicable Me: Minion Rush and select "Advanced Options."
4. Delete the game's app data. This will clean the app out without uninstalling it. You will be signed out of XBOX Live.
5. Open the game and wait until the intro scene and the download is done.
6. As soon as the download shows 100%, put your PC in airplane mode. Be quick about this.
7. The game will create new local data for you as you play.
8. During gameplay, go online. Log into Facebook after you complete the level. You will see the cloud data conflict message show up. When it does, select Local Data and erase your cloud data. The FB login is optional actually.
9. The game will catch itself and you can buy or reach the levels to unlock the power ups. When you unlock them (except for the serum, golden banana and golden shield as these are not needed; you need to buy the minion launcher), the in game achievement will show up (game may hang for a couple of seconds). When you go back into the Jelly Lab, click on the wreath icon to pick up your tokens. Upon clicking it, the achievement pops.
10. Close out the game, go back to airplane mode, redo Steps 3 and 4 and restore your backup into the folder I mentioned in Step 2. Open the game in airplane mode and go back online. Your old progress will be there (with the bugged out counter) but your XBOX achievement will remain unlocked. If you play further on this old progress, do remember to log into Facebook and put the data to the cloud.

There are 10 Power-ups, but I think only 9 are needed. You can purchase them in the shop which is available in the bottom right corner.

The cost of each one is in the brackets below and I advise to unlock them in the following order as certain levels need them:

1. Banana Vacuum (Level 6) (350 Bananas)
2. Freeze Ray (Level 9) (650 Bananas)
3. Gru's Rocket (Level 13) (950 Bananas)
4. Mega Minion (Level 16) (1250 Bananas)
5. Fluffy Unicorn (Level 18) (4500 Bananas)
6, Minion Shield (Level 22) (2500 Bananas)
7. Banana Splitter (Level 26) (1500 Bananas)
8. Moon (Level 28) (2250 Bananas)
9. Minion Launcher (Not needed for any level, so purchase whenever) (500 Bananas)

10. PX41 Serum (Not needed for any level & I don't think this one is needed).

Thanks to napoearth for confirming the prices.

This popped for me immediately after the Xbox Live update for the game, so please let me know if anything is incorrect.

It has been noted that this achievement is buggy. A fix has been posted in the comments:
The Yiddler noted that he pressed the fruit icon to unlock it. MagnetixSQL has seconded that. (comments made on the WP solution)

You can unlock all the power-ups as soon as you have enough bananas to do so. I suggest waiting until you have to unlock them for the levels that require the certain power-ups.

It will cost 14,450 bananas to unlock all the power-ups. They are needed as follows:

- Banana Vacuum - Level 6 - Costs 350 bananas
- Freeze Ray - Level 9 - Costs 650 bananas
- Gru's Rocket - Level 13 - Costs 950 bananas
- Mega Minion - Level 16 - Costs 1250 bananas
- Fluffy Unicorn - Level 18 - Costs 4,500 bananas
- Minion Shield - Level 22 - Costs 2,500 bananas
- Banana Splitter - Level 26 - Costs 1,500 bananas
- Moon - Level 28 - Costs 2,250 bananas

- Minion Launcher - Costs 500 bananas (this power-up isn't required for any specific level so you must buy this from the store)

Once you have them all unlocked, you'll get the achievement. You don't have to use them all, they just need to be unlocked.
