Here is a 2019 solution, because the game change a lot.

In the strikes section you will see 4 missions what you can do, YOU HAVE TO SELECT THE ONLY SAID "NIGHTFALL". NIGHTFALL THE ORDEAL DOESN´T WORK IF IS NOT A FORSAKEN STRIKE



You can do one of three are in these section, the strikes of the Forsaken DLC is:

Warden of Nothing
The Hollowed Lair
The Corrupted

You have to do the Forsaken nightfall to unlock the achievement, there is a chance per week to see one of the above in the nightfall section

At this point 10/22/2019 Is the corrupted nightfall up!

To get this achievement you will need to do a Forsaken Nightfall. (Obviously) The first week of Forsaken is the strike 'Prison of Elders'. Recommended power is 540*. Although, me and two friends did this without a cheese. We were power level 515 (me), 514, and a 509. Took about 32 minutes being at our power, but now were in the 520's and it's very easy.

There might be a cheese for the final boss but as far as I know there isn't. I'm going to try and make this straight forward as possible. For hunters, you should use Nightstalker subclass with vanishing step. When the ads become too much to handle you can go invisible and revive the fireteam. The tether will be very helpful when you're in the room where you have to disarm the bombs. I wouldn't use tether on the first bomb, but one use another on the 2nd and possibly use one for the 3rd.

For the boss room, we all used the Wisper of the Worm and did some damage to the boss then killed some ads as they don't respawn once killed. Just do that over and over and hide in the shadows when the boss does it's bursting of energy. Just keep going and it may take a few tries but you'll eventually get it. Also stay in the back when the ads spawn as they don't spawn in the back.

I would highly recommend being in the 520s+ and do the same thing except when you shoot at the boss you can easily melt the boss. Hopefully this helped some people and I primary Hunter so sorry Titans and Warlocks. If any titans and warlocks that have this achievement for the Prison of Elders Nightfall leave some advice for people running the same races as you.

**As of Season of the Wish (Nov 2023 - Jun 2024), The Corrupted is currently in the Nightfall rotation. This week is the LAST WEEK where the strike will be active during the season. Expected dates of availability are listed below.**

Current Nightfall rotation for Season of the Wish (Nov 2023 - Jun 2024):

1. PsiOps Battleground: Cosmodrome
2. Birthplace of the Vile
3. Hypernet Current
4. Lake of Shadows
5. The Corrupted
6. Heist Battleground: Moon

The Corrupted will be active as the Nightfall between Apr 30th, 2024 - May 7th, 2024.

**Dates are based on weekly reset time at 10AM PST (5PM GMT) every Tuesday.**

For returning players: This achievement can still be unlocked if you have already completed the requirements on another platform (Steam, Epic, Playstation, Stadia). Setting up Cross-Save through bungie.net will automatically unlock this achievement (along with any others completed) upon logging in on Xbox/Windows.

If the achievement still doesn't unlock even after completing the requirements, you can also try the Switch Profile method (Character Menu ()-->Settings (x2)-->Gameplay (x3)-->Switch Profile). This will prompt you to select your account to re-login, which should force unlock any completed achievements.

This is more of an updated info guide, as Destiny 2 has undergone several changes to its systems over the years, including its Nightfall system. I will update this solution periodically, if and when the strikes are available as part of the seasonal rotation.

• This achievement requires certain pieces of content to be selected by the developers as part of seasonal updates. As such, this achievement may become temporarily unobtainable for long/unknown periods of time, unless the requirements have already been completed on another platform (See note regarding Cross-Save above).
• This achievement will require ownership of the Forsaken Pack, which must be purchased separately from the base game.
• If you purchased the Forsaken expansion on any platform prior to the launch of The Witch Queen expansion in 2022, the Forsaken Pack will be automatically given to you on the respective platform.

This achievement requires you to complete a Forsaken-era strike when it is the selected Nightfall of the week.

• As of the release of the Lightfall expansion, Nightfalls are Strikes and/or Battleground activities that are given increased difficulty and gameplay modifiers on a weekly rotation.
• They are located in the Vanguard section of the Destinations tab in the Director.
• The lowest difficulty these strikes can be is Hero (1770 Power), which has a low-level barrier for entry (1750 Power) and matchmaking for up to 3 people. The recent Into The Light update is giving all players a set of 1810 Power for free, so you can skip the Power grind for the time being.

Each 3-month Season of the game, 6 Strikes/Battlegrounds are selected for Nightfall rotation, rotating weekly throughout the season. With upwards of 20 Strikes/Battlegrounds in the game, this means that a Forsaken strike is not guaranteed to appear during a Season.

The developers (Bungie) have also started placing Battlegrounds in Nightfall rotation more frequently, so the chance of seeing a Forsaken-era strike as a Nightfall is expected to decrease with future seasons.

As of the Witch Queen expansion in 2022, there are now only 2 strikes that fit the criteria for this achievement:

• The Corrupted - Dreaming City
• Warden of Nothing - Prison of Elders, Tangled Shore (Due to the removal of the Tangled Shore destination, this strike is now listed under the Dreaming City destination.)

If one of these strikes is in the rotation for a season, you just need to complete the Nightfall on whatever week it is selected. If none of the strikes you need are selected for the current season, you will have to wait until (at least) the next season for another chance to complete this achievement.

It is also possible to play a Forsaken-era strike as a Grandmaster Nightfall outside of rotation during a season. However, this still requires a Forsaken-era strike to be amongst those selected for the season AND it is currently unconfirmed if completing a Forsaken Nightfall outside of rotation will award this achievement.
