This shit is hard as fuck. Unless you have Crimson or you're super accurate, it's a PITA trying to get 25 precision kills and 5 Gambit invasion kills.

If you have a year one Better Devils with explosive rounds in your kinetic slot, and a year one Sunshot in your energy slot, you can roll with both and that should help with dealing enough DPS for the 5 Gambit invasion kills.

Yeah that's what I've been doing. I got my Sunshot to 518 and my BD to 515. 3/5 kills so far.

I wonder if this achievement would unlock from completing any exotic quest, such as Sturm or MIDA, if you still have them kicking around on a character..?

@ x SNAKE5 x I completed the Sleeper Simulant exotic quest after the release of Forsaken and the achievement didn't pop. So I guess it's only valid for the new exotic quests.

I found using Drang and Sturm in Gambit is great for the invader kills. Use Drang to kill the ads and this will add extra damage to your Sturm shots. When the message pops up that the invader has arrived switch to your Sturm (which should have a full magazine of overcharged bullets) and hunt them down. Best of luck!

Use Crimson for the crucible kills, you will know you got a precision kill if your magazine fully replenishes after a kill instead of squinting for the precision icon in the kill feed

It looks like they changed the gambit requirement. I just did the gambit part of the quest and it was tracked as a percentage for hand cannon kills; either normal enemies or invading gaursians. However, killing invading guardians increases your percentage faster than killing normal enemies.

Someone in my party just got this for doing the ??? quest for the Wish Ender bow. We have not got the bow yet, but the quest still popped it. It's 580 and wasn't too hard with 3 560s. Currently you can cheese the spawns in the first 2 parts of the shattered throne dungeon by quitting at 0 on a team wipe. Then after cheesing the ogre fight, you put in your talisman (don't need to fight the wizard boss at the very end) and you can grab the quest in four horn gultch.

By JihzNapkin on 23 Feb 2022 03:28
You just need 15 forsaken exotics now, so it's basically an extension of the "Exotic" achievement where you need 10 forsaken exotics. You can get some from vendors and exotic quests, the rest you need to get from random loot (i.e. it's luck). I'm not sure the best way of doing this as I haven't played since Witch Queen, how I did it before Witch Queen was by farming master/GM nightfalls. Exotics are actually fairly common here. Xur might also have Forsaken exotics in his rotation at the weekend, he had some in his rotation before Witch Queen like Trinity Ghoul.

Just wanted to let you guys know I got this achievement on 3/12/22. AFTER the changes to 15 exotics. I completed the quest for Malfeasance and got the achievement with only have EIGHT exotics from forsaken.

I got this quest BEFORE the change and finished it after. So that maybe also why I still got it idk. Cheers

This'll only be useful for Hunters, but tethering invaders in Gambit made it a bit easier and also provided a bit of satisfaction to ruining their fun.

For the 250 kills in strikes, find a strike that starts out in the open world and just run around killing adds. They'll keep respawning and you won't need to compete against your strike mates for kills.

Even though Wish Ender doesn’t have a quest, it will pop the achievement after completing the “???” Mission (even though that’s not the final step to getting the weapon) I can’t remember exactly how to get Wish Ender stuff because the game glitched me and my friend past the first step and automatically gave us the “???” Mission but it requires a completion of “The Shattered Throne” dungeon to obtain the “???” Mission on your map at the Tangled shore. You could also check if you already have the “???” Mission on your map, if it glitched others past the step as well. The mission is a little challenging and I would recommend a friend to go with you, and they must also have that mission for it to allow the fire team.

You can also do the Malfeasance exotic quest to get this achievement. Maybe a little easier compared to Crucible.

- Keep Playing Gambit and kill the Ascended Taken Servitor. Once you’ve defeated the Primeval and earned the heart, take it back to the Drifter in the Tower.
- Kill Taken Bosses. The best area for this is Rheasilvia.
- Complete the questline: The Corrupted. My advice is to get a full fireteam
- Win 10 games of Gambit and deposit 400 motes. However, losing any motes will actually set you back by two times the amount lost.
- Kill 25 enemy Guardians in Gambit AND and either kill four enemies in a single invade once or have a teammate kill four enemies in a single invade three times.

Something interesting about this one. I just got the 4 guardian kills in a Gambit match to complete the quest.

In the invasion where I got the 4 kills I only actually killed 3 guardians. What happened was the got the first kill, then my opponents resurrected the guy I killed. So I killed the second opponent, then the guy i killed first a second time, then finally a third opponent. The game acted like I killed all 4 opponents and completed the question. Here is a link to the video. Kinda interesting and impossible to set up.

UPDATE 1/27/21: this solution was for the Chaperone quest, but apparently, per the comments section, the Beyond Light update has broken this quest and as a result, it no longer counts toward the achievement. Luckily, there are tons of exotic quests in the game at this point that are just as straightforward, so don't sweat it. Users suggest going for Malfeasance, as it used to be a super grindy Exotic to get, but it's far easier to obtain now.

UPDATE: as of 6/3/2021, the quest is active again!

An alternative quest that you can take on is Holliday Family History. This quest is a little easier than the one for Ace Of Spades. It's a random drop quest that you can get once you get to the Dreaming City. Completing this will grant you the Chaperone shotgun, which is great for PvP but not very useful in PvE. The requirements are:

- 20 kills with a shotgun in Crucible
- 20 kills with each type of damage in Crucible (i.e. Solar, Void, and Arc, so 60 kills total). Now this part is a little tricky, because you get 5% towards your subclass total for every kill, but you also LOSE 1% every time you die. So it will take more than 20 in actuality, unless you're a god that can go on 20 straight kill streaks. It's really not too bad, only took me a few games to knock this out and I'm very average at Crucible play.
- 15 kills against Guardians in Gambit. This was really easy, since you can invade with your Super active and rack up bodies when they aren't paying attention. All weapons count towards the 15, too.

After this, go talk to Amanda at the Tower and turn in the contract. Boom, new Exotic and you're 20G richer.

UPDATE on 8/28/23.....this achievement has been completely reworked, and no longer requires you to finish an exotic quest. All you have to do now is simply collect 15 exotic Forsaken-era weapons or armor pieces. Getting exotics in this day and age is easier than ever. You can pick up exotics from Xur on Fridays or get them from completing weekly activities. If you want to know what exotics you can get, go to the Kiosk in the Tower and check there.

Question, for the 20 kills, does the quest distinguish your progress towards each subclass? For example, is it 3 separate progress bars. One for solar, arc and void? Or is it lumped into one bar? If it's the latter it would be much more confusing to figure out your kill progress.

Overall solid guide. +1

Good question. It's 3 separate bars. I highly suggest working on one subclass at a time to avoid losing points in every category. For example, I run a Titan, so I started off with my Solar subclass and used only Solar weapons, after I got 100% I then switched to Void weapons, and so on.

I'm trash at crucible, which means I can confirm that since each element has its own progress bar, you can match your guns and subclass and work on one at a time and once you hit 100$ it's "locked in" and can't be reduced.

Unfortunately as of 8/7/21 I did two versions of the Chaperone quest and neither of them popped the achievement for me. I did the main one you get from Amanda and then I had another one that gave me the Chaperone for resetting my Crucible rank.

Hmm. Maybe do a more recent one, like the quest for Deathbringer, The Lament, or Xenophage. There's a ton of exotic quests in the game now. Not sure why Chaperone isn't working again. If anyone else can confirm it's busted I'll edit the solution.

I finished this two days ago, no achievement. Tried the switch profile log and out multiple times but no luck. Coincidently this was my 10th forsaken exotic so that achievement popped. Dunno if Beyond Light screwed this up or not. If anyone else tries for this one since Beyond Light please let me know.

just want to clarify; I made this post BEFORE the description was changed.

This isn't really a solution, but I couldn't find a list of exotic quests that do NOT count for this achievement. This could be bugged, but as of the day I'm writing this; these exotic quests seem to not count, possibly because they are from year 1, or Year 3: Shadowkeep.

Deathbringer, Xenophage, Leviathan's Breath, Riskrunner*, MIDA multi-tool*, Rat King*, Last Word**, Bad Juju**

*credit - MartinUther
**credit - BIGB EC

My guess, it needs to be a year 2: forsaken quest for this achievement.
Please comment if these did work for you, or you are aware of some others that don't count!

The first exotic quest that you will likely receive is the one for the Ace of Spades. It is automatically given after speaking with Banshee-44 after completing Nothing Left to Say.
  1. Kill five invaders using hand cannons while playing Gambit.
  2. Kill 250 enemies during strikes with hand cannons.
  3. Defeat 25 opponents in the Crucible with 25 precision kills using a hand cannon.
  4. Find Cayde's four personal stashes.
  5. Complete the Ace in the Hole mission.
  6. Return to Banshee-44.
The other exotic quests may be easier for you, depending on your play style. They are listed below.

The Chaperone - Found randomly after reaching level 50 from the Crucible or other events.
  1. Get 20 kills in the Crucible using a shotgun.
  2. Elemental kills in the Crucible with arc, solar, and void weapons. Kills earn 5% progress and deaths lose 1% progress.
  3. Get 15 player kills in Gambit, either invading or killing invaders.
Malfeasance - The trigger for this is spawning an Ascendant Primeval instead of the regular Primeval in a round of Gambit. This is random. When it spawns, you need to kill it to get The Seething Heart to drop. The chances for this are highest when the corruption in The Dreaming City is at it's highest. This is a three week cycle.
  1. Spawn and kill an Ascendant Primeval in Gambit.
  2. Kill 25 Taken bosses or mini-bosses.
  3. Complete special version of The Corrupted strike.
  4. Win 10 Gambit matches and deposit 500 motes. Any motes lost count double against your total.
  5. Get four kills in one invasion three times and get 25 invasion kills.
  6. Return to the Drifter.
Wish-Ender - This is only available during the last week of the three week cycle of The Dreaming City when the corruption is at it's highest.
  1. Open up the Dreaming City through Petra's quest. See Heart of the Awoken for more info.
  2. Kill the Ogre and visit the statue of Sjur Eido in "The Shattered Throne" mission found in the Confluence in The Dreaming City during the weeks when the corruption in The Dreaming City is at it's highest.
  3. Complete the mission "Prove Your Worth" in the Tangled Shore.
  4. Collect the three tokens and return to "The Shattered Throne" mission and kill all three hidden bosses and complete the mission.
  5. Interact with the statue again.

It doesn’t have to be the quest for the “Ace of Spades”, you can do it for the “Companion” shotgun. The quest is given by Amanda Holliday, and the quest itself is quicker, or any other... if you find it.

Many of the Forsaken guns are already in the Monument of Faded Light, there are no orders. I made a bunch of things, like the Companion, on the forums they say that a trophy falls for it. But no. I received a trophy for an assignment related to the Intruder Gambit. Not the easiest task, you need a lot of grinding in Gambit, and at the last stage of the invasion, personally kill the entire enemy team, or your allies can do this, but already 3 times
