Here's my video guide for this as well as the 'Ship Rite' and 'Inspector' achievement
Attained simply by killing the 'champion of the dark' (final boss) in the first selectable mission on Earth: 'Restoration' (your first PvE mission immediately after your first visit to the tower). The boss is very easy to kill and takes critical damage for headshots.
*** DESTINY GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS FIX ***
Destiny Achievements are VERY glitchy. In order to unlock achievements
you have already met the requirements for you must cycle your connection
to the Destiny servers. The easiest way to do this is as follows;
ENTER the game > Press START > LOGOUT > SWITCH PROFILE >
CHOOSE your GAMERTAG > SELECT your CHARACTER > POP goes the cheevo

Unfortunately, I'm not 100% certain of this, but this seems to unlock as long as you kill an enemy with a yellow health bar. The first one of these to appear, barring a random event, will probably be the Archon during the "Restoration" mission (mission 2). At the end of the mission, you'll face off against an Archon.
Technically, it may be possible to not get the kill on the Archon and not get the trophy. You can always replay the mission, but you're likely to kill quite a few of these Champions while you play so you can just wait for it to happen naturally.
