How to unlock the A Friend Indeed achievement in Destiny - Definitive Guide

I found the easiest way to get this is in a game or two of Skirmish. The Skirmish game mode is 3 vs 3 deathmatch, and it's the final unlockable game mode.

The focus is not just killing, but resurrecting team mates is key too: your buddies tend to 'bleed out' over a longer time and they can't force their resurrection for a few seconds. Which gives you more time to get to them. When you reach them, hold X over their remnants.

So play this mode, stay close to your buddies and you should pop the cheev quickly. I had played probably 30-40 games and not resurrected anyone until I played this mode and got the cheev in the first game!

Decided to boot up the old Destiny for nostalgic purposes on my new profile (it's been like 7 years). Anyways, how in the world do you get this achievement in 2022? I see people are getting it, but I can never get into anything online.

Here's my video guide for this as well as the 'A New Steed' and 'Change of Heart' achievement

To get this achievement simply revive a total of FIVE Guardians. These Guardians do not need to be your friends or in your fireteam. The five revives are cumulative and do not need to be in one mission. If you're having trouble reviving players before they self respawn simply play strike playlists which will allow you considerably more time to revive your fellow Guardians in the Darkness Zones (when there's a skull next to your health bar).

*** DESTINY GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS FIX ***
Destiny Achievements are VERY glitchy. In order to unlock achievements
you have already met the requirements for you must cycle your connection
to the Destiny servers. The easiest way to do this is as follows;
ENTER the game > Press START > LOGOUT > SWITCH PROFILE >
CHOOSE your GAMERTAG > SELECT your CHARACTER > POP goes the cheevo

Hope this helps!
Happy gaming

To unlock this trophy you must revive 5 fallen Guardians in the game.

If someone is downed on the map near your current location they will appear as an icon on your mini map (the PS4 controller's Square button to be exact).

As long as they don't respawn on their own, you can approach them, hold down Square and revive them.

The easiest way to accomplish this is by joining Fireteams with other players. You will most certainly be presented with downed teammates during missions (especially strikes) so this is a good time to grind this out. But it is entirely possible to get this with random people as well so fear not if you are tackling this game solo.

I nabbed this running around Old Russia on Patrol without even trying by Level 6 so this will more than likely come naturally from playing the game.

When anyone on your the same server as you dies, you have the ability to resurrect them by holding X near their ghost. You do not have to be on the same fireteam as the player, though you'll naturally be around your fireteam the most. Higher level Strikes and playing on Hard during story missions that are above your level will likely result in a number of deaths, so this should come early for you.

This can be done in Patrols, Strikes, Raids, or Missions. If someone on your fireteam dies, you will have a chance to revive them by running to their ghost (floating blue orb) and holding down . The easiest way to do this is to get a friend, go on patrol in the Cosmodrome, and take turns jumping off of the cliff and reviving each other.

If you don’t have anyone that you can quickly do this with, then play strikes with random people or go out on patrol and revive anyone that is down.
