Just to elaborate a bit more on HolyHa1fDead's solution, if you don't have the pre-order unlock then you can obtain this achievement in the Level 4 Story - The Warmind.

This mission is located on Earth in the Forgotten Shore area.

A new Steed

A great way to obtain a vehicle is by purchasing it in the tower. Once you equipt it the achievement will unlock. Video was done by DarknessNZGamer.

To get this achievement simply load up 'The Warmind' Level 4 Story Mission on Old Russia, Earth. Play through the objectives until you unlock the Sparrow. That's it!

*** DESTINY GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS FIX ***
Destiny Achievements are VERY glitchy. In order to unlock achievements
you have already met the requirements for you must cycle your connection
to the Destiny servers. The easiest way to do this is as follows;
ENTER the game > Press START > LOGOUT > SWITCH PROFILE >
CHOOSE your GAMERTAG > SELECT your CHARACTER > POP goes the cheevo
