For some reason it won't work for me although I am sure I did it. I have been playing on the X1 version and then every so often load up the 360 version just long enough to pop the achievements a second time. This one is unlocked on my 360 but not for X1.

Switching character doesn't work, but switching profile (or hitting your Guide button and selecting Sign Out) seems to do the trick.

I unlocked this achievement using the Warlock class. The first grenade upgrade is pretty much a gimme. Once you earn your 7 level, you will have a chance to upgrade your grenade once again. This upgrade is called the scatter grenade and is located on the second row, first icon from the left. Select this upgrade and presto, achievement unlocked.

This is how I unlocked the achievement so please vote positive. Thank you and have a nice day.

OAP 4 Life!

Change of Heart

If you have an Uncommon item or higher you can upgrade it by Hitting Y when looking at the item in your gear. If you use 1 item long enough then you unlock attachments for it.

If it has more than 1 scope attachment, simply change from scope to scope and the achievement will unlock.

You can also change your grenade load-out and it will unlock.

Its buggy as I have done this and it hasn't unlocked.

Edit: It just unlocked when I started the game up so it might not unlock right away, but if you do what I said it will.

Video is done by Alex LegendForever, this is when he changed his Grenade ability that unlocked the achievement.

Changed scopes on multiple guns, back and forth, and grenades back and forth, no achievement. Reloaded the game, did it again, and still nothing.

I mean it will unlock later, not doing it over and over until it unlocks, your done you have the achievement, it will pop in time.

I know, I was just saying I know I did the requirement since I did it a couple times. Logged in 360 version to pop the achievements I have, and this one popped there.

this is really buggy, I switched the scope on my pulse rifle numerous times it didn't unlock, quit the game restarted it still didn't unlock. I reached level 7 and switched my grenade no achievement, I quit the game and restarted still no achievement. loaded the game this morning still no achievement. so I guess I can't unlock it

My Solution: It unlocked for me when I created a second character. Try this method with other buggy achievements.

Signing out using above method doesn't work for me. Have logged in and out, and restarted the game, also updated console, did hard resets, etc... Still not unlocking. I wish this game had progress bars to know if A, it is done but not unlocked yet like a lot of X1 achievements, or B, is just not registering that it is done.

@CTM AudiRS6 - Sorry to hear that, man. I don't know what else to suggest. It could be one of those where it'll just randomly unlock when you're doing something else. I had a Watch Dogs achievement refuse to unlock for me and then, while I was doing something completely different, it unlocked.

Left the game idle to eat during the mission that just keeps going on, letting you do stuff over and over, and it sent me back to orbit. I guess during that time I was away, this and all the others that were glitched popped.

Definitely glitched. As soon as I closed Destiny, and re-opened it - the achievement popped.

Logging in and out again did the trick for me, suppose it's just a case of having a bit of luck when it comes to the achievement popping up.

If you're having trouble unlocking this achievement, here's what to do.

Once you reach Level 7, you unlock another LB ability. Once you have the option of upgrading to the new one you just unlocked, select it. Then, select the previous LB ability, use the right bumper to navigate to the settings menu, hover over log out and select switch profile. When you sign back in to your Xbox Live profile and log in to your character again, it should unlock. Me and a couple of friends tested this and it worked for all four of us. Hope that helped!

got it to unlock. I think it happened after creating a new character. After doing the tutorial I went back to the other character I was trying to get it with, about an hour later I got the achievement, I only found out about it as the friend I was playing with noticed it on my activity feed, I never got the notification of unlocking it.

I disconnected from my broadband in my Xbox settings while still logged into Destiny. When I turned it back on and returned to my game, it had logged me off and put me back on the character selection screen. Loaded up my lv 20 warlock and this achievement plus decryptologist and lucky 7s unlocked one after the other.

Here's my video guide for this as well as the 'A New Steed' and 'A Friend Indeed' achievement

To get this achievement simply equip your second grenade as soon as you unlock it as part of your leveling up process. Alternatively, weapons with alternate upgrades such as different scopes can also be used to attain this achievement.

*** DESTINY GLITCHED ACHIEVEMENTS FIX ***
Destiny Achievements are VERY glitchy. In order to unlock achievements
you have already met the requirements for you must cycle your connection
to the Destiny servers. The easiest way to do this is as follows;
ENTER the game > Press START > LOGOUT > SWITCH PROFILE >
CHOOSE your GAMERTAG > SELECT your CHARACTER > POP goes the cheevo

Hope this helps!
Happy gaming

This is a poorly described trophy.

In the Upgrade grid around level 9, you open the second row of upgrades, the first in the row is a grenade type. When that unlocks you almost certainly will click on it. This trophy I believe pops up when you click on it.

If not you need to click on the top grenade again, and switch it back. However my experience found just clicking on the second row is enough to earn this.

You are not "Reversing" a decision but rather selecting the original grenade that unlocks. You can do this with a number of other upgrades, but the earliest chance is the grenade type.

Upgrade grids are found on both your character and various weapons. Gaining experience will unlock new abilities for yourself, and/or an equipped weapon. The "decisions" for your character grid start at Level 7 when you unlock your second option for grenades. You may get a decision on a weapon earlier than that. Once you have a choice (where the options are above each other), simply switch from whatever option you've already selected to whatever is directly below it to unlock the achievement.

This is essentially a story related trophy, but it’s not automatic. When you reach Level 7, you will unlock the ability to use a different type of grenade. In the subclass perk menu, select the second grenade bubble.
