How to unlock the The D Project achievement in DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION - Definitive Guide

This is a very simple achievement: watch the credits in its entirety without skipping it. You cannot get it if you choose the "Credits" option in the main menu; it is only obtainable after you beat the game.

I will give you a thumbs up just for stating "you cannot get the achievement by watching credits in main menu".

I watched that whole credit list for what 10 minutes + (without finising the game) and got nothing lol.

Although it makes sense in the achievement description since the surprise should only be available at the end of the game so yea.

Not sure which a-holes marked you down. It is a simple achievement with a simple solution. Thumbs up from me.

People sometimes downvote when a solution seems pointless because the achievement description explains in enough detail to render a solution irrelevant. Like me, for example.

Well in that case Skadi that makes you even more of an asshole than you already are, how much more of a tit do you want to be?

In that case I feel inclined to positive vote this.

It's nice to know that you have to beat the game first. Thanks.

Thanks, just started up the credits from the home page. Glad I didnt sit through them lol

And see, Skadi, this is why it gets a thumbs up, because it's not pointless, you're just on a high horse.

Just to confirm, this is the final homage to the original game. A short video will play which confirms that the "self destruct" ending is canon, if anyone was wondering which one was. After the video plays the original Deus Ex theme plays and you will be brought back to the main menu when it's finished.

Why should the "self destruct" ending be the canon?

I kinda thought Jensen was done with Megan anyway after he found her helping the enemy laugh.

Also, the original game takes place in 2052 - a solid 25 years after HR. A lot of stuff can happen in 25 years, including periods of time when none of the characters portrayed in this game do anything of any significance, so I agree with you that Sarif's message could still hold true regarding the storyline.

Honestly, I felt this game went heavily into the history of augmentation, while the original was more of the impending technological apocalypse extravaganza kind of deal. At least in the Deus Ex universe wink.

it explains why none of the characters were around/refered to or really mentioned at all in original Deus Ex games. It's also self explanatory considering Megan meets Bob Page at the end. Why would she go to him if Adam were still alive? or even if David was i'd expect she'd go back to him at least. it's also been confirmed by the development team. Personally i found that the David Sarif ending could've served as an acceptable ending as well, considering the outcomes of the next games

Fairly straight forward - watch the credits and there is a surprise at the end.

PLEASE NOTE
: You need to watch the credits AFTER COMPLETING THE GAME. Hitting the "Credits" option from the title screen will not initiate the secret cutscene, nor net you this trophy.

And you need to sit through all the credits - if you hist start, and then skip, you will not get this trophy.

For those of you that saw the ending, and are a bit confused, here is some information for you:

If you have any questions or additional information, please leave them in the comments below.

Also, if you leave a negative vote, please explain why below as well.

After beating the game, choose your desired ending, and leave the game until the credits end. There will be a secret scene.

As soon as the you have completed the game and one of the videos has played the credits will role. Simply let them play until they finish and the achievement will unlock.

I looked at the list of authors through the main menu, but did not receive the prize. Apparently, you need to watch it after the game is over.

after you beat the last boss, select the button you like and press it, watch the video and only then the credits will roll, they will roll for about 10 minutes, don’t skip the credits! and after receiving the trophy you will be taken to the main menu.
