How to unlock the Dressed for the Occasion achievement in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Definitive Guide

The below video shows the achievement unlocking. Adam leaves A Block and goes to B Block. In B Block, he finds a yellow B Block prisoner jump suit hanging in a locker in a storage room. Putting it on unlocks the achievement.

For reference, Adam has a crude map that he acquired during his conversation with Flossy. The video shows the way through venting that can be accessed from the shower. This route has some risk. Adam emerges between two large fans. The one on the left is moving. The one on the right is not moving but a short circuit has electrified the floor. Adam must move quickly forward, open a small door, and turn off a circuit breaker. This removes the hazard and stops the moving fan allowing him to go beyond it into the storage room where the achievement is obtained.

Adam does not need to go through the vents. He could use the access card on the panel pointed out at the 1'45" mark in the video to go straight into B Block. He would have to be stealthy to avoid detection because he is not authorized to be in B Block. The storage room with the jumpsuit would be to his right if he were to enter B Block using the access card.

Without augments, Adam would need to use a multi-tool on the door of the storage room. Adam is shown acquiring a multi-tool at the 40" mark in the video. The Neuropozyne required for the trade can be found in a hiding place inside Cell A320 to the right of the door.

Note: Players who do not yet have the Quid Pro Quo achievement by trading booze to the inmate at the exit to the yard, could get it by trading Nupoz (Neuropozyne) to the inmate in cell A214. If not previously obtained, this achievement will unlock when the trade is made.

I'm doing a video walkthrough for A Criminal Past for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. This is the third of eight videos that, when played sequentially, will provide a complete walkthrough unlocking all the achievements in the process. This video is preceded by the one for the Don't Reach, Young Blood achievement and will be followed (when I complete it) by the one for the A Just Cause achievement.

There's a few locations where you can get the prompt for the "Secret Stash" point of interest, but you don't even need it to get this, you just need to swap jumpsuits. After a certain point in the story, Delara no longer comments on you switching your outfit, so I'm unsure if this can be unlocked after finding Mejia in Cell Block B, so I'd do it before until I have confirmation of otherwise. Note that running around Cell Block A with a Cell Block B jumpsuit will get you shot at, and vice versa.

In the area between cell blocks A and B, you'll see a door at the very back against the wall. There's a few ways in here:

- Jump on top of the showers in Cell Block A, find the ceiling vent, head in. Once you're in, save, then try running to the right through the electricity to find the switch to disable it. After that, you can disable the moving fan by either using Remote Hacking, or tossing an EMP grenade at it. Then just head through the vent that was behind the moving fan, and you'll be in the room with the jumpsuit.

- Alternatively, and boringly, just use the front door. You can disable the cameras from inside the security booth and then knock out the three guards (two on the bottom, sniper up top). Neither the big mechasuits or the cell block guard tower snipers should see you out here. As for the door itself, you've got three options: hack it, use a multi-tool to bypass a hack, or just blow the door up. Your preference.

I'm pretty sure you can do it almost anytime. I didn't switch the jumpsuit until later when Jensen had to meet Mejia again.

I made a quick video guide (no augs or multi-tool needed):

After speaking to Flossy about the Altered Biocell in Cell Block A and agreeing to his delivery request, you'll receive a secondary objective that will task you with bringing the item to Red Shoes in Cell Block B. At this point, follow the objective waypoint and it will lead you to a small outdoor courtyard in between both cell blocks. There is a Maintenance Shed on the eastern side of this courtyard, but its keypad is locked. If you were successful in getting a Multitool in Cell Block A for the "Quid Pro Quo" achievement, then sneak your way to the shed's door and use this item to open the keypad and enter the room. In the back of the shed, you will find a Cell Block B jumpsuit inside a semi-opened locker. Simply interact with it in order to put it on and unlock the achievement.

If you don't have a Multitool in order to open the door to the Maintenance Shed, however, you can still reach this room another way. Make your way to the showers on the ground floor of Cell Block A. Jump on top of the lockers in the corner of the room and then jump onto the showers. You should be able to find a ceiling vent above a large heating conduit. Head inside and make a manual save. When you exit into the large conduit, make an attempt to run through the electricity field on the right and past the closed gate. Now quickly find and activate the breaker switch on the right-hand side of the vent to disable the electrical current. From here, you can turn around and crawl underneath the second fan to find another ventilation shaft on the left. Climb through, open the grate on the other side, and you will now find yourself inside the Maintenance Shed. Again, interact with the Cell Block B jumpsuit inside the locker and the achievement will unlock.

In between the two cell blocks is a small maintenance room. You can find a map marking its spot by exploring around the cells in cell block A. You can find a code to open the door inside the security rooms in A (there is also apparently a way to sneak in the back).

Inside this room is a locker with a jumpsuit for cell block B. Change clothing to unlock the achievement (and also allow you to more easily move around B without detection).

Missable

To get this trophy, you need to find the red prisoner uniform for Cell Block B. The uniform is found in a stash room between Cell Block A and B. If you spoke to Flossy about the Altered Biocell, he'll place a marker showing the location, but this marker is not necessary for the trophy. A safe route to get there is described in the Smooth Like Soap trophy guide section.

Let's play Hitman =) You need to change into the Block B uniform. The place will be marked on the map with a green magnifying glass icon after you take the prison map from the Dealer's cell from Plush - in the north of the prison in the center is this room.

Change the uniform of a prisoner from block A to B.

1 Along the outer perimeter of the blocks there are 2 corridors (one for each block), which are patrolled by one guard.
2 In the center of the area (the transition between blocks through the security post) there is a maintenance room.
3 Inside the locker is the prisoner's uniform from Block B.
