How to unlock the Ramming Speed!! achievement in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Definitive Guide

Upgrade the Icarus Dash to level 2 to unlock the Charged Dash ability. Position yourself so an enemy is in your line of sight. Move forward then hold the button you have assigned Icarus Dash to (for me it was cn_up) until it's fully charged. After you release the button, you will run into the enemy and knock them out. You have to be moving forward before doing the charge dash. If you try to do it while you are standing still, it will still knock out the enemy but the achievement won't unlock. It only unlocked for me when I used the ability immediately after walking forwards for a few metres.

Nice one! I can confirm that you have to be moving when you initiate the dash.

I was getting really frustrated with this. I kept doing this over and over and over again and the achievement refused to unlock. I believe it's because you have to do this on a thug, and not a hostile police officer or security guard. It didn't unlock for me on the level where you are investigating the train bombing, but it finally unlocked when I used it on a Dvali member.

Lyco 499 is right you need to aggro them before it counts. Worked with the others as well

Confirmed it needs to be an aggro'd thug. Wouldn't pop on police

For anyone having issues with it not unlocking, make sure you do it on a hostile enemy. I was trying it in the underground casino after accepting the deal, so no one was hostile. I tried doing it over and over on a guard, but once the room reacted to me doing it to the first guard and everyone went hostile, I was able to unlock the achievement straight away by charging at a second enemy. I think the keyword in the achievement may be "enemy" in other words.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Achievement/Trophy Guide - Ramming Speed!!

This achievement can easily be obtained in the underground club in Palisade. Go through the alley and climb down the manhole, hack to the gate then get the attention of the thugs in the next room. Run back down towards the end of the tunnel and when an enemy is close enough to hold down a fully upgraded Icarus Dash and let go at the enemy. This will knock the thug out, and the achievement/trophy will unlock.

I have added a video guide below,

Something worth pointing out is that when he's in cover in the video he crouches down at the 1:37 mark. Then when charging the Icarus Dash and aiming towards an enemy, there's a fist icon that appears above the enemy. My first few attempts weren't successful, but once I made note of that I got it straight away.

An easy way to get this as well as all the other combat aug achievements, is to complete Koller's bookstore and start the side mission to get the Neuroplasticity Calibrator. Do not spend any Praxis Points.

Once you get to the Russian Casino underground, save and then invest in the Icarus Dash. Use the passage to the right with the hackable door, then go in and get the attention of the enemies. Back down the narrow hall, and an enemy should follow. Charge your dash, and dash straight into him, unlocking the achievement.

After you have unlocked this, reload your save and then focus on one of the other combat achievements.

To combine the above solutions and comments here’s what you must do to make this work. There are several components:

1) Travel to the Dvali Hideout in Northern Prague. It is accessed by the sewer just round the corner from ‘Tubehouse Electronics’ in the NW portion of the map. I’d fast travel to the Palisade metro to get there, then it’s just a few seconds to the sewer.

2) Descend the ladder, look right, go forward, then take the right fork to take the back route into Dvali territory. Hack the door, evade the camera and drop beneath the floorboards to end up at the other side.

3) Ensure your Icarus Dash is fully levelled. I would map it to LB as it’s the least awkward button to hold down whilst trying to manipulate the rest of the controller.

4) Slowly emerge from behind the boxes/wall to trigger the ‘hostile’ alert.

5) Charge your Icarus Dash by depressing LB. Once it successfully locks onto an enemy a ‘fist’ will appear above that enemy. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT AND ESSENTIAL FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT TO UNLOCK.

6) Once the ‘fist’ has appeared you have limited time to act as the enemies don’t remain in one spot! Move forward with the thumbstick THEN release LB to charge headlong into the enemy.

7) If you’ve followed all these points it’s achievement unlocked!

This achievement can be earned at any time during your playthrough after Mission 3. Please keep in mind combat-related achievements only work on enemies in a hostile environment; civilians and policemen do not count.

You will need to unlock and fully upgrade the “Icarus Dash” augmentation.

After engaging the mobsters inside the underground Russian casino, try to lure one of them into the long corridor/tunnel with the locked gate. Put some distance between yourself and the enemy and begin charging the "Icarus Dash" by holding the aug button. Once you let go, Jensen will dash quickly into the enemy, knocking them back and unlocking the achievement.

NOTE: Make sure you are crouching as you charge the Icarus Dash, as shown in the video below. When standing, you will not be able to perform the dash successfully for this achievement.

Icarus Dash is one of the experimental augmentations, which can be unlocked after meeting Vaclav Koller in the main quest Getting in Top Shape Again. You also have to buy an upgrade to this augmentation - Charged Dash. Once you do that, find an enemy and charge the augmentation completely before you activate it.
A little note here - in order to get the achievement, enemy NPC should be engaged in a fight with you - the achievement won't pop if you will sneak up from behind and use the dash on an unaware enemy. So the best approach is to "ambush" an enemy that is patrolling - take a position and start charging the dash once he's close to spotting you, once he does and engages you - ram him and voila!

This requires you to Ram Dash into an enemy NPC with a fully charged Icarus Dash. It should be noted that this trophy can only be obtained against "Hostile" enemies and not civilians. You will not unlock the trophy if you attempt this trophy on non hostile enemies. The Icarus Dash is one of Adam's new Experimental Augmentations that enables him to dash forward at enhanced speed. You'll need to fully upgrade the Icarus Dash using 3 Praxis Kits.

Once you're able to upgrade Adam after completing Mission 3: Getting In Top Shape Again, you can attempt to do this trophy at any time. The best place is in Sewers where you're in the Underground Casino. Depending on how you previously approached the Underground Casino, the enemies will either be hostile or non hostile. If they're still hostile towards Adam, then you can easily attempt the trophy requirement. If they aren't hostile because you did the Honor Holds Us All Together trophy. You'll need to have a gun on you, so you can shot the Security Camera.

Once you have the enemies hostile towards Adam by shooting the Security Camera. Run back down the sewer tunnel and hide behind left side wall. The enemies will slowly walk down the tunnel searching for you, while they're doing this, crouch and then press and hold down on whatever button you've assigned your Icarus Dash onto. You need to get the on-board display of a punch icon to appear next to an enemy. This means your Icarus Dash will hit the enemy when you release your charge. If you Ram Dash into an enemy from a very long distance, the trophy will unlock. It won't unlock if you were too close to the target. If you failed or messed up, simply reload your last manual save and retry again. After unlocking this trophy, don't forget to reload your last manual save if you're after the Pacifist and Foxiest of the Hounds trophies.

You need to ram an enemy who is hostile to you. It won't work on the sly

You can ram while behind cover. We just stand around the corner, accumulate energy, aim at the enemy and press the button. By the way, robots can also be rammed; the trophy was given the first time for a walking robot in the Palisade bank.

I was dumb for a long time until I realized that I had to hold down the dash button to get it charged!

Also, it is necessary to be as far away from the enemy as possible so that the acceleration of Icarus towards him is maximum. I rammed with a fully charged charge many times while close or at medium distance from the enemy, and nothing fell out. Then I watched the PowerPyx video, the description of which outlined what I described, moved away from the enemy to the maximum distance and made a dash, the trophy fell out.

Video.
We ram during times of alarm, when the enemy knows where you are and is trying to kill you. You won't get an ordinary enemy from stealth.
