S-ranking DHM isn't that bad. I did this with Lady/Trish. It's pretty easy to get S-SSS-ranks during combat with both imo.
Change distance attack to RT and switching weapons<- to LT for Lady. Allows to charge shots midcombat and made switching easier.
Trish is fine with the default controls once you get used to her move-set and the fact that you have to spam the spinning-sparda-move 24/7.
Almost forgt: the shotgun /spinning-sparda-move are REALLY good for breaking objects fast.
Protip: use CTRL+F to search for a specific mission.

Rules of Obtaining 100%
- You must break any and all objects that have ORBS in them. Proof? Do Mission 19 on Heaven or Hell, break the Eggs in Echidna's room, Shoot Agnus, and JUST leave without breaking the cages, and break the four pillars at the end, you WILL get 99% in orbs.
- You must collect all Red Orbs in the stage, regardless of its size it will prevent you from getting 100% if you did not collect it.
- You must break all objects in any room you enter rather it be by accident or fell (Mission 7). Leaving without breaking these objects you will not get 100%
- You must collect all Red Orbs in any room you enter, this means in some missions three for example, you will have to go back up a little bit to get the Red Orbs leading to the Secret Mission in order to obtain the 100%
- Green or White Orbs do NOT count towards the total unless they were in an object.
- Combat Adjucators do NOT count towards the total.
- Red Orb Statues do NOT count towards the total.

All three runs I never killed a single Angelo so, long as you shoot the Orbs down you’ll S-rank the Mission for Orbs.

Tips:
- Cutscenes and Secret Missions don't add to your timer so don't feel like you have to skip every Cutscene and Secret Mission to get a good time.
- Secret Missions don't add to your Style Points so it's safe to skip them if you're going for the high Style Points.
- In some missions it's sometimes beneficial to fall into a pit or go back a screen to get enemies to respawn (enemies only respawn twice) so you can increase your total style. Just keep your time in mind.
- I recommend trying for S-Rank on your second play through as you'll have more moves and a larger Health Bar which makes it a lot easier. (The Speed Move is a must)
- Using a Continue resets your Style Points back to 0 so beat the whole Mission with one life.
- If you use a Continue then the highest Rank you can get is an A-Rank.
- Using any items will mean you won't be able to get S-Rank.
- Using the Yellow Orb will mean an instant D-Rank no matter what your other Ranks are.

- Cutscenes and Secret Missions don't add to your timer so don't feel like you have to skip every Cutscene and Secret Mission to get a good time.
- Secret Missions don't add to your Style Points so it's safe to skip them if you're going for the high Style Points.
- In some missions it's sometimes beneficial to fall into a pit or go back a screen to get enemies to respawn (enemies only respawn twice) so you can increase your total style. Just keep your time in mind.
- I recommend trying for S-Rank on your second play through as you'll have more moves and a larger Health Bar which makes it a lot easier. (The Speed Move is a must)
- Using a Continue resets your Style Points back to 0 so beat the whole Mission with one life.
- If you use a Continue then the highest Rank you can get is an A-Rank.
- Using any items will mean you won't be able to get S-Rank.
- Using the Yellow Orb will mean an instant D-Rank no matter what your other Ranks are.
