How to unlock the Skill Collector - Dante achievement in Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition - Definitive Guide
You don't need to possess all of Dante's skills at once to obtain this achievement, or at least it didn't make me do that. You can simply buy a skill, cancel all to refund your proud souls and then spend again. Rinse and Repeat until all skills have been purchased at least once. You will need a minimum of 6250 proud souls to get this achievement using this method.
Skill Collector - Dante | Acquire all of Dante's skills.
Getting all of Dantes skill will take longer, as his are a bit more expensive, but thankfully Dante's and Nero's Proud Souls transfer, so there's no need to grind extensively.
I got this as soon as I was able to play Dante in mission 12 on Legendary Dark Knight Mode, it was my second playthrough of the game, although I had been S Ranking the entire way, it may take some people longer. I would suggest you get this achievement before venturing into Dante Must Die Mode and the Bloody Palace.
290150 is the amount of proud souls required to get this achievement, good luck, and have fun trying to master Dante's skills.

The earliest you can purchase all of dantes skills is after dantes fight with the savior. I believe its mission 18? After the mission, if you have already purchased all of dantes skills to that point, it should unlock right away.

== Skill Collector - Dante==
** Acquire all of Dante's skills. **
Since you can decide between 3 character campaign, you need to buy all skills of Dante, from the Shop. You'll pay there with Proud Souls, the more you buy, the more expensive will be skills to get. In total you'll need 290.150 Proud Souls to buy everything. You won't unlock the Trophy if you buy all Skills from the other characters, luckily all Proud Souls are stacking to all characters, so there's no need for extra grinds.
For people who haven't bought anything from the PSN Store. For average players, you'll get it in around 2-3 Playthroughs. Depends how good you are. If you can achieve high scores on the Missions, you'll get more Proud Souls, which means you're able to get them faster.
If you bought Proud Souls from the PSN Store, you'll only need close 100k more Proud Souls.
But keep in mind, even if you have bought all skills from Nero, you will still play Nero/Dante campaign 'til at least Mission 19, so you need to beat Mission 18 before. Getting Dantes Yamato include his Dark Slayer Style are Story related skills. So there is no way, to avoid the Nero/Dante campaign, if you play as one of the other characters or you have allready enough Proud Souls before you get there, like it happend to me.
If you can't play with them, or they're still one of your last characters you'll need to play, just play on Heaven or Hell, to be on the safe side.
Some advises during your grind to the Trophy...
If you play the entire campaign as Nero/Dante, i would suggest to buy as your last Skills all kind of Charge Shots from Dante, which include his pistoles and his Shot Gun. These things have to be used in a very technical way, which is not really required to get through the Trophies. As well, i wouldn't advise to buy Round Tripp, from his Rebellion Sword. It needs a lot time to charge and to throw, so enemies have at this time an huge oppening to attack you.
Or you can avoid to buy Gunslinger Styles or Royal Guard, because these Styles are hard to use, especially Royal Guard. Royal Guard takes a lot of time to master and Gunslinger is only usefull for stylish action, which is not needed to get through the game or only for a very very few enemies, like Mephistos.
Also you could still change between the abilities from the Shop.
