This achievement is MUCH easier to get in the Special Edition, doesnt require much grinding at all.
i'd advise if you havent got this achievement after a run or two, either drop into Bloody Palace using Dante and Dr.Faust (after a full run i managed to gather 3mil orbs).
or Play through Legendary Dark Knight Mode, the enemies have as much health as Devil Hunter but it just throws hundreds of enemies at you.
as always, Dr.Faust with upgrades gives you the fastest method of gaining orbs.
this can also help with the "Unlock All Abilities for Nero,Dante,V,Vergil" achievements.

Agreed. Got this one early on in my second run. It indeed doesn't require grinding when you just look around a bit and clear some side rooms.
