How to unlock the This is Power achievement in Devil May Cry 5 - Definitive Guide
Basically, you'll need Vergil's Super costume and the Beowulf move "Hell on Earth" unlocked. You can get the costume by either beating DMD mode with Vergil, or buying it from the Microsoft Store for a few bucks. Your call. When you have the costume, you're good to go. The strategy for most floors will be to equip Beowulf, activate Vergil's Sin Devil Trigger, then spam Hell on Earth until the SDT bar is depleted. This move is basically a massively destructive ground punch that ruins everything in a wide radius around Vergil, allowing you to one shot most enemies if they're caught in the epicenter of the attack. It's so strong, in fact, that even some of the bosses (Goliath, Artemis and Cavaliere Angelo) are knocked into the air when hit with it, in addition to taking massive damage. Once your SDT gauge is depleted, refill it and continue punching the ground until everything is dead.
For some enemies, I'd recommend using Judgement Cut End instead of Hell on Earth, specifically against Furies. Hell on Earth takes longer to charge up than JCE, which can allow a spawning Fury enough time to teleport away, whereas JCE is quick enough to kill it before it can escape and cause problems (you do not want this to happen on Floor 70, which spawns three Furies at once, or Floor 88, which spawns in two DMD Furies that can kill you in just a couple of hits if they're allowed to DT).
Bloody Palace is the hardest and longest part of this DLC. Like the standard game, you have to clear 101 floors without dying with a timer. The more stylish you are, the more the timer will increase. Luckily, time is not a problem, as you can kill enemies pretty fast and you will get many time bonuses.
The only problem is not dying. As I wrote in the roadmap, it is HIGHLY SUGGESTED to use the Special Costume of Vergil for this trophy. With it, you will have infinite DT(that you can convert for SDT) and infinite Concentration. Just fill the SDT bar and spam Stinger with Mirage Edge, you will be able to kill everything very fast. You must fill the SDT every time, though, but it’s not a problem, just keep an eye on it. And use World of V to heal yourself any time you need.
Bloody Palace will be easier, but bosses can still kick your ass! Be focused and don’t underestimate them.
To get the Special Costume, you must finish the game in DMD mode. Since you already played this game tons of hours, I suggest to buy the Costume from the PS Store, as stated in the Roadmap.
From floor 1-80, the difficult is set to “Son Of Sparda”, from 81-101 the difficult is set on “Dante Must Die”. Every 20 floors, you will fight a boss, with the exceptions of floor 90 and floors from 98 to 101, where you will fight 4 bosses one after another, with no break. Be focused and prepared:
- 20: Goliath
- 40: Artemish
- 60: Cavaliere Angelo
- 80: Malphas
- 90: King Cerberus
- 98: Seated Urizen
- 99: Standing Urizen
- 100: Urizen after eating the apple
- 101: Vergil
NOTE: Again, I haven’t accessed my previous save file, so I don’t know if you can access DMD immediately or if you really have to unlock it by finishing the game in Son Of Sparda, and in Human or Demon Hunter. If you can have immediate access to DMD, you can always try to get the Costume in your first playthrough playing DMD instead of Human or DH.
NOTE 2: Clearing Bloody Palace, will unlock the "Special Taunt" for Vergil. This IS NOT the EX-Taunt you have to buy for Concentrated Strength and also, this one is not needed for that trophy.
