How to unlock the Combustible!!! achievement in Devil May Cry HD Collection - Definitive Guide

There´s a "easy" way to beat it in DMD. First of all, There are items available all over the missions, GET ALL OF THEM.
After beating the game on Hard mode, choose play the game on normal mode, only for the sake of getting more items.

HERE'S THE GUIDE:

The items available are:

-Vital Star (cannot be found anywhere)
You can buy one by time

-Devil Star
It's very important have at least 10 of 'em for dmd

-Untouchable and Holy Water
These two are the most important, especially on Final Griffon, Final Nelo Angelo, Final Nightmare and Mundus.
Make sure to have at least 15 of the them before DMD, and 3 or 4 holy water for final Nightmare.

-Yellow Orb
This one you can buy as much as you want. Also, you can find it on missions and the Blue Orb will be replaced by Yellow Orbs if you already got the blue one on your lasts playthrough. Have at least 100.

Dante Must Die mode is unlocked once you beat the game on hard mode. Enemies here are extremely aggressive, do lots of damage, and have more health than on hard mode. Enemies themselves can also use Devil Trigger here, which is the most challenging part of the mode. When enemies use Devil Trigger, they do not suffer from hit-stun - which means they can interrupt combos. This can cause a significant amount of frustration while attempting this mode.

In terms of general strategy, you need to completely change the way you approach the game and try to be less aggressive and consider tactical approaches more (as in what works against what enemies). It will be slow and you will die a lot, but patience and perseverance will get you through. The fact that you should by now have maxed everything should make this easier. Remember to abuse Devil Trigger and if you have money to buy regenerative items they're definitely helpful.

After beating the game on normal difficulty (the default initial difficulty), you will be allowed to save and start the game on hard difficulty - nothing complicated because normal is not much different from hard and all the items and abilities you receive will remain. After completing the hard difficulty you will be offered 3 difficulties, 2 standard and dante must die. Before you start the game on DMD, you should prepare: go through the game a couple more times on normal and collect maximum devil stars (replenishes mana) and gold star (temporary invulnerability) - I highly recommend collecting 30 pieces or more (depending on your skills). During the passage, gold star occurs 5 times in the following levels:

05th--after the fight with shadow. Located on the tower to the left of the door
13th - in the chest immediately after entering the wrecked ship
16th - in place of the ifrit gloves
19th - in a room with a bed, on top of the bed
21st--In the room where you fought the nightmare boss

After collecting the required number of items, we go through the game and make a save already at the Dante must die difficulty level

I highly recommend also saving up Holy water - and more

For inexperienced players, it will be a panacea for finishing off bosses and completely annihilating the enemy Death Scythe - which at the last difficulty level will fold you in half

I also first advise you to buy the maximum of goods in stores - immortality and stars, and only then take from - the limit will be broken and what is found will be added to the maximum

In fact, there is nothing complicated. The whole difficulty depends on your intentions, skill, beliefs. I advise you to take more additional Untouchables, Devil Triggers and Holy Waters. As written above, I quote: “Holy Water is a panacea against many bosses. Do not waste supplies on ordinary enemies, as you will kill more nerves on bosses, especially on the evil Nightmare.

On each subsequent playthrough, do not forget to collect consumables (Holy water and untouchable), they greatly help in the battle with bosses. Holy water works great against Nero Angelo and Birds

I strongly recommend that you bring about 15 stars with a devil trigger to the first stage of Mundus - you can take it out with one ult, which consumes it. For the second stage, 5-6 antachibles were enough for me. Hitting the Nightmare with ifrit will cause more damage, and at critical moments, pour water on it (in the third battle, when the last core appears after the boss has lost all of his health, water takes away much more damage). Death Scythe, by the way, die like children from the blows of a sparda sword in a jump.

Will open after completing it on hard. The difficulty is quite high even with all the upgraded abilities, it all depends on the skill of the game.
