How to unlock the Happy ending achievement in Dex - Definitive Guide

This achievement is easily missed. You must get Richmond to evacuate with Miranda. It is tricky.

First, you have to tell Miranda earlier in the game that Richmond is still alive.

Then, you have to steal Richmond's stuff. During the extraction mission, ask Richmond to leave with Miranda. But don't go further in the conversation than that.

Next, go back to Miranda and show her the ring, etc. Tell her to meet at the Nightingale club where they used to go.

Then, go back to Richmond and tell him the extraction location has changed to the Nightingale. He will balk at it but will agree.

Finally, go to the Nightingale and talk to them. This will trigger the extraction and the achievement.

When you are ready to press on with the story head back to Tony's and begin Destroy GSV-2. During the quest you will meet both Miranda and Richmond, the two key players in unlocking this achievement. You begin the quest by seeking out Miranda as she actually knows where this GSV-2 is located. After breaking into her apartment you find out that the only place GSV-2 could be located is at Redwood-Watts. Head back to Decker and explain to him what you've found. He will tell you the only hacker he knows who can help you with getting by the security at Redwood-Watt is Richmond.

Richmond is out in the scrapyard so head over to him *BEWARE OF THE MINEFIELD.* Speak with him about the circumstances that got him ousted, the whole while being nice to him as you need to influence him later. After you finish up with Richmond you need to go back to Miranda and tell her you saw Richmond and he is fine, but do not give up his location. Now Miranda will either give you her PDA or if you've already gotten it by lockpicking, head back to Richmond with the new information. He'll realize she was being blackmailed the whole time and will be willing to help you.

Richmond explains that you need to get three keycodes from key employees in order to successfully pull this off. You will need to do their side-quests in order to progress with the story, but once you finish up Redwood-Watts our line once again picks up.

When you return from Redwood-Watts you'll be given the quest Extracting Richmond. Go talk to Richmond and tell him he should take Miranda with him when escaping. Now head back to Miranda with the photo of the two of them obtained near Richmond's trailer, as well as his ring. Tell Miranda that you should meet at the Nightingale club. Head back to Richmond and tell him that the extraction point is the Nightingale club. Watch the stars align on this one!
