Picking locks on doors, items, lockers, chests, and safes is an integral part of Dex. I highly recommend getting level 2 lockpicking as quickly as possible as the benefits are huge.

Picking locks is an integral part of clearing out new areas, unlocking good loot, and leveling up Dex throughout the game. I highly advise getting level 2 lockpicking as soon as you possible can to earn the max benefit from all of the loot and opportunities. 10 locks will not be a hard task to achieve.
