How to unlock the It's all in the execution! achievement in Diablo II: Resurrected - Definitive Guide
Here’s how I did it.
Build:
We’re going traps. It’s not gear dependent until Hell difficulty where you’ll need decent gear for survivability.
Level 1-24: Stack Fire Blast. This should get you through every encounter in Normal difficulty.
Level 25: Respec and put 2 points in Lightning Sentry and put enough points in the Shadow tree to get Shadow Warrior. Shadow Warrior will help tank for you, while Lightning Sentry is now your main form of DPS. Put the rest of your points into Charged Sentry to boost Lightning Sentry damage with synergy.
Level 30: put one point in Death Sentry for Corpse Explosion and one point in Mind Blast. Mind Blast will help keep enemies off you and your minion(s) so your traps can do your thing.
Level 45(ish): Once you’ve got 20 points in Lightning Sentry and Charged Sentry start putting points back into Fire Blast. This will help deal with the inevitable Lightning Immunities you’ll be dealing with by now in Nightmare difficulty. I’d also recommend putting at least one point into Fade. This will give you a blanket resistance which is really important in Nightmare and Hell.
Stats:
Stack all your points into Vitality. Only put points into Strength when you need it for armour requirements. You won’t be using your weapon HOWEVER your trap laying speed is determined by your ATTACK SPEED not your CAST SPEED. As such you want a weapon with Very Fast attack speed. You won’t be using it so you can just stick with basic claws until late game where you’ll want a weapon with a runeword anyway. I’d suggest a Flail if possible.
Hireling:
Get an Act 2 Mercenary to tank and take the focus off you. In Normal get one with Prayer heal, and switch this for Cold aura in Act 2 Nightmare. Give him as much armour as possible. Act 5 Barbarians also make good tanks.
Using this strat I was fine soloing until Hell difficulty, where I had to grind for gear and party up for some sections, however if you’ve already beaten the game with other classes you should already have some decent gear to share with your assassin. If you want more information on good gear, I’d recommend looking up runeword guides. This website allows you to search for what you might need: https://d2runewizard.com/search
Good luck. You’ll need it.
