How to unlock the Shut Up and Take My Money! achievement in Diablo III - Definitive Guide

The types of items:

Sword
Mace
Mojo
Amulet
Belt
Boots
Bow
Bracers
Ceremonial Knife
Chest
Armor
Daibo
Crossbow
Dagger
Dye
Fist Weapon
Gloves
1-Handed Crossbow
Helm
Leg Armor
Mighty Weapon
Wizard Source
Polearm
Quiver
Ring
Shield
Shoulder Armor
Spear
Spirit Stone
Staff
Wand

You must buy at least one of each of them. It doesn't matter what item you get. You can check your progress by pressing Start and going to Challenges.

Where to buy:

.::ACT 1::.
NEW TRISTRAM, Tashun the Miner (first vendor you see).
He sells: Axe, Sword, Gloves, Boots, Chest, Waist, Legs and Shield.

NEW TRISTRAM, Arghus the Collector.
He sells: Wand and Bracers.

NEW TRISTRAM, Radek the Fence.
He sells: Bow, 2-Hand Crossbow, 1-Hand Crossbow and Ring.

FIELDS OF MISERY, Wandering Tinker
He sells: Spirit Stone

.::ACT 2::.
HIDDEN CAMP, Silmak the Fence.
He sells: Quiver, Fist Weapon, Helm, Shoulders and Neck.

CALDEUM BAZAAR, Tilnan the Collector.
He sells: Dye, Staff, Spear, Mojo, Magic Source (Known as Wizard Source) and Ceremonial Dagger.

CALDEUM BAZAAR, Lugo the Miner.
He sells: Dagger and Mace.

CALDEUM BAZAAR, Squirt the Peddler.
She sells: Spirit Stone, Daibo and Polearm.

.::ACT 3::.
KEEP VENDORS
They sell: Spirit Stone

THE KEEP DEPTHS LEVEL 1, Ironsmith Aldonado.
He sells: Mighty Weapon.

Special Notes:
Spirit Stone - This is different from the PC version. Now, vendors in towns will sell Spirit Stones very rarely. For those who don't know, Spirit Stones are the unique Monk HEAD armor (originally I thought they were off-hand for whatever reason).

As well, be aware that these items can be bought from any vendor. Try to keep track of what you need and always check vendors when you encounter them. Spirit Stone and Mighty Weapon are the two rarest ones and if you see one, you should do whatever you must to spend your money on this.

I gave up on farming the Wandering Tinker for a Spirit Stone after over an hour on various difficulties. She always had one normal helm.

BUT.... I just bought a rare Spirit Stone from Squirt the Peddler in act 2 town (Inferno difficulty). So she can sell them.

I found one on the act 3 vendors actually. Updated the solution accordingly. Farming shouldn't be necessary now, just check the vendors each time you enter town. It'll pop up eventually.

don't know if this would help anyone but while I'm playing Hardcore, Arghus the Collector in Act 1 Normal was trying to sell me a Rare Mighty Weapon and Radek the Fence. was trying to sell me a Rare Spirit Stone at the same time.

Yeah it appears to not at all be the pain in the ass it was on PC. They're still not guaranteed but you don't need rare spawn vendors.

glitchy achievement for me. i have bought all weapons and if I look @ challenges there are checkmarks at all items. but still neither the achievement or challenge has "popped"

The list scrolls down in the challenges screen with (I believe) the right trigger. There are four item types that start off screen- spirit stone is down there.

I just got this and what I do is I crank up the difficulty to Master V and it appears right away from Arghus the Collector.

YMMV though.

Only took me 3 trips through act 3 keep vendors (Hardcore Character, first/Normal play through, Easy difficulty) to fill out all purchases I didn't yet have. Spirit stone was my last item, not surprisingly.

This is also cumulative among all your players on one account...so you don't have to buy them all with just one character. smile

this is wrong apart from rings and amulets you can get these from pretty much any merchant for rings or amulets mostly the fences seem to sell

This isn't wrong...Any vendor I said sells and item does sell it.

I never meant to imply these were the only vendors to get any of this from. I'd hazard a guess and say no one but you actually thought that's what I meant.

Scroll the list in the challenge screen down- there are more items than can fit on a single page and you're missing stuff from the lower part of the list.

Some more info for a few of the item types--

Dye-
I got this from the NPC at the Caldeum Bazaar- it didn't register as bought at first-- but it was after I warped and used it. Not sure what caused this or what fixed it.

Mojo-
https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/item/mojo/

Spirit Stone-
Keep loading Act II and talk to the little girl right near the spawn point. Check the headgear slot, and investigate any item with X. At the top of the info, you will see the item type. Buy any spirit stone item.

Ceremonial Knife-
https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/item/ceremonial-knife/

Daibo-
https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/item/daibo/

Mighty Weapon*-
https://us.diablo3.com/en-us/item/mighty-weapon-1h/

*Go to Act III - choose "The Breached Depths" mission, I chose the "Kill Ghom" checkpoint- now use the teleporter to go to The Keep Depths Level 1-- Find the Ironsmith Aldonado NPC (which should also appear as an ! exclamation point on your mini map)--

Talk to him, do the short event by killing the NPC's that spawn, and now buy the weapon. You can confirm it's a "Mighty Weapon" by pressing X over the item and checking the red text at the top of the info. Buying the 2h version didn't seem to work for me.

The list of items is constantly changing - please take into account ATTENTION: the spiritual stone is a HEADDRESS...what you have already purchased can be viewed in tests

I’ll add a hint, the Spiritual Stone is a headdress for a Monk, sold almost everywhere, you don’t need to look for a hat with the name “Spiritual Stone”, just buy any hat for a monk

By the way, I noticed that immediately after purchase the item does not appear in the statistics, you need to wait a few seconds)) maybe it will help someone, since I couldn’t understand the first few things I bought two at a time)) and then I bought it, ran to another dealer and just got a tick appeared)

2 options for implementation, either we immediately start buying, while these things are ordinary and cost a penny, or at the end of the game, when we achieve other trophies, since the money after leveling up artisans, completely upgrading chests and creating several cool stones, there is nowhere to spend money except for repairing armor ))) I have level 60 (16) almost all things are green, all repairs cost 38,000, I have saved up 8,000,000...and have nowhere to spend))) I transfer stones from things from merchants to things no higher than yellow))) Uchachi!) )

If you have problems with a Spiritual Stone or a Powerful Weapon, go through all the acts; ordinary sellers should have these things.
I received these two items in Kaldea (act 2) from the Jumper and the Merchant next to the gate to the palace.
