How to unlock the Pace Setter achievement in DiRT 3 - Definitive Guide

There are 9 Classes for the Rally events but you only need to Complete a Time Trial event in 8:
Pro
Open
S2000
90s
Group B
80s
70s
60s
Raid - Not needed

From the main menu select Singleplayer then Timetrial, Needs to be Discipline Rally.

Track preference doesnt matter but i suggest Finland - Mutanen as its one of the shortest and simplest tracks, now cycle trough each class completing the stage to set a time with each one.
Car choice is personal preference as it makes no difference which car you chose.
Any times set in Dirt Tour do not count.

Achievement will unlock at the end of the last stage


Having not experienced the glitch myself i cannot confirm the methods but possible fixes are:
Deleting your ghost saves from your HDD
Clearing your cache
Starting a new save (backup or move the old one)
Leave a comment to let me know if any work.

Thanks for the info Spilner.
Can I add that if you have some times saved from the Dirt Tour you still need to race the stages again in Time Trial mode for the achievement to unlock.

This achievement is glitched! ..How do i know? ..Because it hasn't popped yet! ...Looks like im going to have to delete my save and start a new one.

OK this achievement is really glitched, because I completed trial races in each class and achievement did not pop up... so weird.

Seems im getting downvotes for something out of my control, glitches are CODEMASTERS fault, not mine, if it doesnt pop clear your cache and try a new save.

I worked out what I done wrong Spilner, I forgot to do it with a S2000 car haha.

Glitched on me :( going to just have to move my game save to a usb pen and start a new a new career to get this then move it back..

Yep, this glitched for me as well, and I know I raced all of the classes. I moved my game save and ghosts to a thumb drive, and started a new career. Got the cheevo, then I moved everything back to the HDD. Positive vote left.

Was glitched for me as well. I just placed my Dirt3 saved games to a memory stick and started a new game. Did what Spilner said and it popped. Positive from me.

I finally got the achievement. For me, ir wad glitched as well, I put my file in a USB stick, started a new game, tried it with each of the car classes required and got my achievement. Thank you for the solution, thumbs up.

Ive read alot that people are having trouble with this achievement and it not appearing after they have completed there time trials. I had this glitch! :(

I found a list on another achievement site which had a list of cars to use. I used this list and won the achievement first time.

PRO - Ford Fiesta RS rally car
OPEN - Ford Fiesta open class
S2000 - Abarth Grande Punto
90s - Toyota Celica GT- Four
GBOUP B - Ford RS200
80s - Renault 5 Turbo
70s - Opel Kadett GT/E 16v
60s - Renault Alpine A110

Like said before you do not have to complete the RAID section

The easiest and quickest track for me was Finland - Mutanen

purely by luck, I had used almost all cars listed here. but until I changed and took the Fiesta for the open class, the achievement did not pop. thank you.

This solution worked for me I used a Peugot in the S2000 class did it again using the Abarth Grand Punto and the achievement unlocked after the time was recorded, thanks.

My suggestion is to select Single Player and then Time Trial from the main menu, and make sure to select Rally. Go class by class, on the track "Crocodile Point" in Kenya, as it is the shortest rally track available. Once you register a time trial time with each class, the achievement will unlock.

pay attention at the solution from bonxy. I did not get the achievement until I took the cars listed by him.

From the main menu go to "Single Player" and then "Time Trial". You need to complete a rally time trial in each of the classes. You can see the global times as you look through the tracks in order to see which ones are the fastest to complete. Tracks like "Crocodile Point" in Kenya and "Isojarvi" In Finland are good choices, or any others with similar completion times. Here are a list of the classes for reference:
