How to unlock the Super Star achievement in DiRT 3 - Definitive Guide

I found a very quick way to level up to 35,but you need 8 players, all you do is start up 2 teams of 4 in gymkana pro tour and search at same time.( it works best if the host of the teams live close together) when you get in a game together with everyone, have everyone hit the gas(go fowards a bit), then go in reverse(go backwards abit), hit gas(go forwards), than go in reverse.Do this ontell game is done, BUT NO ONE CAN GET A POINT"
after the time is up ever body will get 1000 point for 1st place,200 extra point if there driver rating is cautious, and 500 team bonus which add up to a total of 1700 point in 1.5 mins this is the fastest way to level up online I and 7 other player can confirm this works. Also you can get your 10 games won and play 25 games achievement this way.

You get more points in Pro tour we tried it with 8 players in jam session, and we only got about 800 points or something like that. In Pro tour you get 1700 points but your driver rating has to be white.

Calum Rulez, you are not completely right about your idea, what can be fun for some can be boring for others, and what's boring for some can be fun for others,I can argue with you and say, playing online events over and over gets boring too,you can lose the fun after a while,it doesn't matter the way you do it,what count is are you satisfied about yourself, and if you are enjoying what you are doing regardless the solution you use, stay positive, and don't be negative in your votes.

Callum, this site is about solutions and guides to getting achievements. Negative votes should only be given to Solutions that don't work at all, not because you have a different preferred method.

we searched for each other in 2 groups of 4 i beleive if you search with a group of 8 it will tell you the party is to large for the game type.if you have 2 player that live close to each other then you should be able to find each other with no problem that is how we did it.And thank you everyone for a positive vote:)

I fixed this solution many times but i guess i really messed it up the last time,i dont know why you have to be ignorant, all you had to do was PM me and i would have fixed it,i guess not everyone thinks before they type.Anyways i fixed it :)

With 5 players: 700 for win + 140 cautious driver + 500 team bonus = 1340 fans.
With 6 players: 800 for win + 160 cautious driver + 500 team bonus = 1460 fans
With 7 players: 900 for win + 180 cautious driver + 500 team bonus = 1580 fans
With 8 players: 1000 for win + 200 cautious driver + 500 team bonus = 1700 fans

The main issue with not having 8 players of course is that randoms may join your game.

You are cool callum rulez this is site about getting achieves and u vote bad just because u like to play. I put this up to help people out, people can choose to play the game anyway they want (as long as they don't cheat) not everyone can play racing games, or want to spend forever playing gymkana this just speeds it up a bit. If you're good at the game have fun playing, if not use this method. Callum you need to get a life and stop harassing others users solutions.

Obviously best with 8 players, but just for info, you need a minimum of 4 players to start a Pro Team Gymkhana match but you can have someone quit and it will continue as long as you don't back out.

With just 3 players: 500 for win + 100 cautious driver + 500 team bonus = 1100 fans.
With just 4 players: 600 for win + 120 cautious driver + 500 team bonus = 1220 fans.

Although a Gymkhana round only lasts 1:30, with all the loading screens each round takes just over 4 minutes.

So, boosting from 0 to level 35 with 8 people would be 148 rounds, roughly 9 hours.
If you only had 4 players you'd need 205 rounds, roughly 14 hours.

You need to reach Level 35 in Multi-Player (250.000 Fanbase).

How more people their are in the Match how more points you get. For a full lobby you get 1.000 if you become first, their is a -100 for every spot you finish lower or every player less in match. It don't matter anymore if the others are higher or lower ranked as you (like in GRID).

Also you have the Clean Driving bonus, you see this Dot by your name in Multiplayer (only changing in Rallycross & Landrush). For a Red Dot you lose 20% of your winnings, with a Orange Dot you don't lose or win extra (0%), for a Green Dot one you get 10% bonus and for a Platinum Colored Dot (Cautious) you get 20% Bonus each race.

Also driving in a Team gives a bonus if your Team finished overall better then the other one (reward +500 FB).

Edit: "Gymkhana" takes the less time, so you can do more of them, but lobbies are mostly not full (in Teams).

Made a note of the number of fans as I hit a few levels... might not be exact, just when the levels popped for me.
(Starts at level 27 as I'd already reached 26 just playing for fun)
Figured it might help others estimate how many boosting sessions they'd need.
27 - 92k
28 - 99k
29 - 120k

We found out that if you are experiencing problems with finding and connecting the two teams, try to let two persons from the same country host the lobbies.
Maybe someone can add this to the guide.

The best and quick way to reach it is the solution from Nameless Saint, but if you've a minimum amount of time to be right in front of the Xbox and boost it, you can leave it turned on, in a gymkhana pro tour team and rubber band the pad to accellerate and turning right...if you have the luck to get in a boosting session you have the 1700 point and doing nothing! In the worst case, you have 300 point for last place and an extra 60 point if your rating is cautious, always doing nothing!

can you double box it in a private match ?
0
0
By techie76 on 27 Jan 2016 19:50
I used backwards compatibility to bring my alt into a lobby with a couple of my friends to increase the rep they were getting per event. As far as "private" matches go, I'm not sure how the xp/rep works in the game. But you could team up in Head 2 Head I think. Just know that the XP grind is already REALLY slow in the 8-player boosting method. Going for it with only 2 will take forever.

Also, there may have been an update that prevents you from deadsticking online. I haven't tried with a wired controller, but the thing that causes the game to kick you out of events seems to be based on movement. If your car stops for more than about 20 seconds, you're gone. But like I said, I never tried it with a wired controller.

You need get 250,000 fans and reach level 35 to get this trophy.

When going for this normally there are 3 kinds of XP (fans) you want to go after. The first is based on your finishing position in the race so the higher you place, the more XP you get, naturally. Secondly you will want to have your driver rating at white at all times, see "Honorable Driver". This gives you a 20% bonus on whatever you earn from your finishing position, In order to keep this at white at all times you can stick to event types that don't affect your rating such as Pro Tour Point to Point and Party events. Lastly there are 2 more types of xp you can earn, although sadly not at the same time. When going solo you get an xp bonus when you beat drivers more than 5 levels above you and when playing in team modes you get a bonus when your team wins. Overall the team bonus is probably the easier one to get more often so I'd say play team modes especially if you can get a good team together or luck into one while searching. It will still take a long while to rank but if you get both of those bonuses plus a reasonable finish you should average around 1000 a race but that can be hard to get every time. It will probably take 10-15 hours to reach the rank needed if you combine all these way of getting points.

You can boost XP to get to the needed rank faster however with this boosting method (Credit to Maka of x360a.org for this one):

See the boosting thread to find partners: Trophy Boosting Thread

First of all you will need 8 people to do this and it will probably take a total of 5-6 hours all going well. To max out the XP you are getting, everyone should have the white driver rating for their 20% bonus, see "Honorable Driver". Split into 2 groups of 4 and both search for Pro Tour Gymkhana at the same time. Best to have everyone in a text chat to coordinate things more easily. You shouldn't have any trouble matching up but if you do get in a game without the other group, both back out and try again until you're successful. Once in the same room you need to start and make sure nobody scores any points but you do need to move from the start position. If nobody scores the event will end in an 8 way tie at the end of the 1:30 round.

The results for every player will be:

1st Place Finish = 1,000 fans
White driver rating bonus = 200 fans
Team win bonus = 500 fans
Total = 1700 fans

0
0

This is grinding leveling achievement of the game. You must reach level 35 online, which happens at 250,000 fans.

First, do the Honorable Driver achievement and get that white hexagon next to your name. This will net you 20% extra fans per race from now on, and hopefully make your journey a few hours shorter. If you play games without "Impact Rating" and race cleanly, you will keep this rating.

Regular Play:
I recommend playing Team Based modes in either Pro Tour or Jam Session. These give you the best chance at winning, and a good reward when you do. The trick is to find events that are only 1 race (round), as doing more than 1 round is just a waste of time for the same amount of rep. An average player will earn about 750 rep per race (event), up to 1250 rep per race. At those paces, you are looking at somewhere between 200-333 races total online for this achievement. At an average 4 minutes per race (with menu + loading), you are looking somewhere between 14 and 22+ hours.

Boosting:
This achievement can be boosted. You will need 8 people and it will take approximately 6-7 total hours. The first thing to do is make sure everyone has "honorable driver" status to maximize on the fans. It is ok if you don't, but it will make a difference of 1,600+ fans/hour. Next you should make 2 groups of 4 people, and have everyone in the same party chat. Ideally, make the best connections should lead the 2 groups. Both groups should now search for Pro Tour, Gymkhana, and should have no problem finding each other. Once in the same room, you start the match and make sure that nobody scores, but make sure everybody moves their car from the starting position. At the end, everyone is to have 0 points, resulting in a tie.

Post Game Results:
1st Place Finish: 1,000 fans
Repuation Boost: (+20%) 200 fans
Team Victory: 500 fans
Total: 1,700 fans

Each game takes 1:30, and loading times and screens in between matches over a minute and a half. At this rate you should get around 27,000 fans per hour, and 8-9+ hours of boosting total should net you the achievement.

As you know, Codemasters is one of those who like to do quite a long online game in their races. This game, unlike Grid 2, was also no exception. Therefore, for those who have not yet beaten this undoubtedly most beautiful game, I think this method may be useful to you!

I think everyone knows that recently on xbox one it has become possible to play some X360 games, which is very cool and opens up new opportunities for boosting trophies on your own without outside participation. But this method is only for those who have both X360 and XBOX ONE! We will also need a game purchased directly from the xbox store, downloaded and installed on both consoles and a second spare profile for such cases for boosting. Also for the 360 you need either a wired gamepad or a special cable so that it does not disconnect. The Vanova gamepad can be connected with a regular mini usb cable (I think everyone has one)

If you have all this, you can start - go to xbox one under the second profile and on 360 under the main one (since on xbox one you don’t need gold to play online) We go into the game both there and there, select pro tour/team/gymkhana, we see that both profiles connected and the timer for the start of the race began to count down. That's it, now all that remains is to connect both gamepads with cables and hold the triggers with rubber bands and you can go about your business! Another important point is that your main profile should always win whenever possible, so on the xbox 360 we hold down only the right trigger (gas), and on the Vanova gamepad we hold down both triggers, gas and brake. This way you will almost always win.

This is the fastest and most effective way to boost and no partners are needed! And most importantly, your presence is not needed either! For each 1:30 race you will receive 980 fans (experience). Almost no one plays in this mode, and if someone comes in, he may end up on your team and you will receive about the same amount of experience. But even if he ends up on the opposite team, you will still receive more than 400 experience. This way you can fill a trophy in less than a day!
