How to unlock the The Extra Mile achievement in DiRT 3 - Definitive Guide

Every race has a bonus objective, the details of each objective is given at the start of each race in the service area (The menu where you chose the difficulty of the race, change settings and start the race)

The objectives vary from beating a specific time, reaching a certain speed, drifting X amount of yards and so on.
So this will take a minimum of 25 races to achieve the 25 bonus objectives.

You can check your objective mid race via the Pause menu

During each race you will be given the opportunity to complete a “bonus objective” for extra rep. They are usually easy, and involve travelling at fast speeds, completing sprints/laps fast, or drifting. Each car for each event has a different objective, and only 1 objective per race. You can view the objective before the race, at the pre-race menu. It is located in the white stripe of text underneath the circuit picture. You can also pause during a race to view to goal. Complete the goal in 25 different races, and you will unlock this achievement.

Note: You can complete 2 bonus objectives for rally events that have 2 stages.

Every race that you do has a bonus objective attached to it. It is displayed before the race and you can pause during to see it as well. These objectives are generally thing like "achieve a speed of XXmph" or "Achieve a lap time of XX:XX". As a result most of the time you won't have to alter the way you play to achieve these since you should be going as fast as you can anyway. Just keep an eye on these as you work through the DiRT Tour and getting to 25 should be no problem.
