How to unlock the This is fine achievement in DiRT 4 - Definitive Guide
This is similar to an achievement from DiRT Rally. To unlock this one, you need to finish a stage while one or more of the car's parts are badly damaged. In DiRT 4, "badly damaged" means that you need to see at least "Heavy Damage" in red next to a certain part of the car in the Service Area.
EDIT: It's possible that some subsystem of the car needs to get into the "Critical Damage" state instead of just the Heavy one, so if the achievement won't unlock after following this method, try again by trying to get a bit more damage in. Take care though as Critical Damage means that that part is very close to failing, which will obviously make you start the whole process again if it does fail. Critical Damage and Critical Ware seem to be different when it comes to this achievement.
To unlock this without overdoing it and wrecking the car, pick any car you like as long as it's not from the R2 class, since you will need a little bit of speed. Go to the tune menu and stiffen the Springs and Dampers to the maximum. Reduce the Ride Height to the minimum, for both axles.
Now go and complete a few stages in Michigan (if you've purchased it you can do it in Finland too which is faster), since it has a high average speed as a location in general and a whole bunch of bumps, dips and jumps. Going over those with that setup will put a lot of stress to the suspension and the bodywork. After a few stages (I recommend going for a total of 6 medium length stages, ~6km each), you should see that the suspension is in Heavy or Critical Wear state. If that happens, go into the next stage, go slowly so that you don't crash and have to retire and reach the finish. The achievement will pop then.

Ah, got that by accident doing a weekly Rally and hitting a fence. Didn't notice any damage, it just popped up after finishing the stage.

Me too, but I remember it was surprisingly difficult to actually get this in DiRT Rally, so I decided to write a solution for 4 too.

There is another way to get this achievement, when trying to go for this one:
DiRTy Dozen
Where you have to run 12 races on the montly community event.
Basically you have to ride a car in 12 continuous stages, and it will be repaired in between some. The thing is that you run alone, and just compared the times when finished it. So basically each split time you will be #1. Since there are a ton of stages around 10km each one, your car will get eventually damaged, and it does not matter how long you will take, you'll be always first. I got this running for "Dirty Dozen" in the 8th stage after the car was badly damaged.
So if you want to get this cheevo, go first for the other one and you'll probably unlock this meanwhile.

As with Dirt Rally, you need to complete a stage with one or more body parts with “major damage”. You will most likely get this without knowing, so don’t worry about it. Just keep ramming your vehicle against barriers, trees, sides etc.

It is necessary to bring one or more parts to a red critical state during the race and complete the race in this form. The easiest way is to destroy the suspension by first making it as stiff and low as possible. Can be done in freeplay by betting any number of races, the trophy will automatically appear after the part is damaged and the finish is successful.
