How to unlock the +10 HRSPRS achievement in DIRT 5 - Definitive Guide

Choose garage from the main menu then select any car you wish. Next, choose the create option to enter the livery editor, make any alteration on your livery, for me I just changed a colour, however, Dirt 5 does bring a very good, in-depth livery customisation aspect to the game
Simply make and then save a change to a livery to unlock your achievement

Every time I try to do this it says I need a game pad to be connected and won’t let me do anything

I was able to fix the requirement to connect a game pad by setting my controller as the primary input device in the input options menu.

I had to turn off controller and turn back on to finish. It also said controller disconnected but it was still powered on.

The game has a livery editor that you can spend as much or as little time with as you want. The easiest way to get this trophy is to make a custom livery at the pre-race car selection screen. Select the "create" option after you've picked the car, slap a coat of paint on and save it, then the trophy is yours.

To get this very simple trophy, you need to save the custom skin you created. To do this, you need to go from the main menu to your Garage.

Main menu -> Garage

Once in the garage, select one of your cars and select it. You will now see slots with "Create" written on them. Select a slot and start customizing your car the way you like. When finished, click the Circle button to exit and click "Save and Exit" to claim your trophy.
