Game keeps crashing on the same race, over and over...

Glad I am not the only person who has trouble with sprints and I am a fairly seasoned race vet. Horrible event

Well this comment section made me feel a lot better because those sprint sections are some of the worse thing I have had to endure in my 25 years of gaming. I don't understand how something so atrocious makes it through testing and everyone is like "yup, were cool with leaving this in the game"

I have to join the choir here: I was sure my controller was broken when I first tried a sprint event. That turned out not true. I call broken event type.

I'm stuck on 99%, all events 3 stickers apart from sprint which have 2 stickers.

Edit, just unlocked after deleting my console save and re sync

@ I am ren. You just need to finish the race. On some of those sprint races I finished 12th last and the achievement still unlocked for me.

This comment section has put my mind to ease. I thought I had a stroke and forgot how to play video games. Sprint races are horrible.

I was looking forward to these sprint races. I've always wanted to try a sprint car in a game and I guess if I want to try a "decent" sprint car race I'll have to race the Tony Stewart games. I hope those are good because this I can't even get the car off the wall and braking just spins it. So frustrating. Ended up .35 Seconds off the leader and nearly lapped......so horrible to see.

Glad it's not just me, I've played loads of driving games but can't do these they are a nightmare.

One slight correction, you do need to win the final 4 1v1 races to complete them.

Sprint races are the worst I ever played. And I nearly played everything that's not as sim as Asetto Corso in the last 20 years.

The sprint car does control pretty poorly but it's not THAT bad. You don't even need to win them either.

You are probably playing it after the new update. When persons were saying it was awful, believe them it was disgraceful

Just an update for those having trouble now (08/08/22)

I completed all the events and the counter was stuck at 98%, looked around, the only tip was to start over on a new save. Frustrated I tried quitting out of the game and starting it back up again hoping the cheevo would just pop. Instead in the campaign screen I was greeted with two events that I had 100% completed previously (They were both blocking access to about 100 events if I hadn't done them yet). Having no stickers on them instead of 3, so I completed 1 and the counter increased again, completed the other and BAM! 100%

So TL/DR I think the game injects events into the roster for you to complete if you haven't popped the achievements after a restart.

Yea the sprint events with the actual sprint car are some of the worst things I've ever seen in a racing game tbh. Yet the sprint races when you can drive a normal car on the ice, I end up lapping half the field even on very hard... horrible game balance is horrible.

Sprit events are impossible to get first, the a.I is fixed to drive perfect every time even on very easy, while all your car does is spin out on the straight.

First Time on the sprint event got me shocked at how bad it is.
A few tries in I was shouting at my screen (it's been like 10 years since I've done this!). I'm a seasoned racer. I played the game on hard difficulty and every driving assist turned off, I found the game to be pretty easy tbh. But THIS!
Even with the difficulty to medium and assists in low I needed like a dozen tries to finish the first Sprint. Once you get the hang of it though, you can do it in a couple of tries. But damn how this thing is broken. Physics in this game are not the best, I'd even say pretty low level but I got used to them. But it feels like this event has physics of its own...
Worst races I've done in decades.
For those who are struggling with it:
Assist on low are the best ( turned off will make you slide like crazy and high will slow you down). Stay as much as possible inside but keep about a meter between you and the rail. Don't brake. Just let go off the throttle until you're halfway through the corner then push gently through the other half then go hard on the exit while staying inside. On the second or third lap you'll be in first place. Stick to this method and you'll be fine. 👌
