How to unlock the Owned achievement in Dirt Rally - Definitive Guide

Once in a while, one of the two daily events is a Owners Club Daily Event. That event only allows you to race in it if you own the car that's being used.

Instead of buying the car and trying to "white-knuckle" your way to victory, keep checking the daily events and eventually a car that you own will make its appearance. Obviously, owning a lot of cars in a variety of categories will make this easier, so if you've not progressed a lot in the career, consider postponing an attempt at this. Not rushing to buy the car being used is both a disadvantage and an advantage, since when the stars align and you own the car being used, you'll probably have enough experience with it and more importantly some upgrades installed, which will make this significantly easier.

Other than that, it's a typical daily event. If you have the time, practise the stage in a custom championship and then have a go at the real thing. Keep in mind that as always, there are no restarts, so if you make mistakes you can kiss the Top Tier goodbye. Nevertheless, I did this in my first try with all assists off, simply by being 100% focused on the pace notes.

What's considered 'Top Tier"?

That depends on the challenge, I can't remember how many tiers this one has. If you're looking at the event before entering it, it shows you the breakdown I think. Regardless, you need to try your best and see if it was enough whenever the event resets.

Top Tier is when you post a time within the top 33% of the leaderboard. There are 3 tiers, Gold (Top Tier), Silver, and Bronze.

Rather than asking what is considered ‘Top Tier’ - go into the game and this is clearly shown to you.

That's alright, the solution doesn't have that many comments anyway.

These achievements are becoming more difficult - on average only 15 people are playing the online events nowadays and we need a big push for more players to participate to make things easier.

I see. That was always going to be an issue and now that the game is also delisted, it will be tougher. If only it wasn't based on a percentage...

It is what it is. Hopefully more players will join these going forward. On PlayStation it also isn’t on the store but for some reason the daily leaderboards are rammed with people. Odd.

The Owners Club is a type of Daily Online Event that requires you to already own, or purchase the vehicle required to complete the event. Finishing in the top tier means setting a time within the top fastest 33.3% of times set for the event. Considering you only get one shot at completing the event, it may be a good idea to take note of the car and track combination, and practice the event in your own Custom Event beforehand.

To participate in this race, you need to buy the required car and drive as best as possible in order to get into the top segment of the rating at the end of the day. There are no restarts in these races.

I received this trophy by completing the “intermediate time of the day” race in the upper segment. Either this is a bug, or this is how it was originally intended.
