How to unlock the Racing Stripes achievement in Dirt Rally - Definitive Guide

Before you decide to get started on this achievement there are a couple things you should know. This achievement can only be obtained in the 'Championships' mode, NOT 'Custom Championships' or the 'FIA Championships'. With this being said, it is also important to know that a fully upgraded car is going to give you the best chance to obtain this achievement. I personally used the Peugeot 207 S1600 from the 'Rallycross 1600s' group, however I guess the car comes down to personal preference and whatever you feel most comfortable using.
So the trick to making this achievement a little less painful is to go about the race as normal by trying to win 1st place, I always took joker on the first lap so I knew what I was kinda dealing with ahead and just focused on trying to reduce that distance between myself and the car ahead (if any). If you find yourself on the last lap and you feel you are not going to be able to get into 1st position then you can simply press cn_start to pause the game and the select 'Save and Quit'. This will take you back to the Career screen where you can simply resume with your championship and this does not affect any progress you may have made towards the achievement and does not cost you any in game money like it would if you selected the restart option. Continue to use this method until you have come 1st place in each of the 4 heats and your achievement should pop. I hope this helped, and good luck!

This must be done in a actual championship. Custom championships do not count for this. I find the easiest way to do this is the rally 1600 with a fully upgraded car and with the right setup.

EDIT: Y4n confirmed this is not obtainable in the Fia World championships either. Must be done in a classic championship mode.

I scored 200 points during the fia world championship in career, i restarted several times to finish first in each round, but nothing unlocked. If someone can say if it works in the final monster energy championship or it has to be done in the classic championship. thx.

That's weird, restarting shouldn't reset anything. When I got the achievement I restarted a total of 6 times on pro difficulty. Popped, but I was in a classic "normal" championship.

This seems to be easiest if you bash your way to the front on the first corner. The other cars run slower if they're behind you than if you're trying to chase them down from behind. So I would wait until the last lap to take my joker and make sure I was in front after the first lap or I'd restart and then it was easy, even without my 1600 car being fully upgraded.

I seemed to do best taking the Joker on the first every time. But that might just be personal preference.

I can confirm. I unlocked the achievement yesterday in a classic "career championship" so like you and i restarted several rounds. So it doesnt work in the Fia world rallycross championship if you attemp to do it in this competition !

Did this in the Mini Classic Rally X. It's quiet easy(ish) if you do the open league to get your mini maxed out then Sweden junior track was the easiest for me. (Last race in the championship) Get in front on the 1st corner then complete the lap THEN joker. The AI cars behind ALWAYS jokered on lap 2, so you don't lose any positions this way. You can always restart if don't manage to get in front.

Scoring 200 heat points requires you to be the fastest in all 4 heats. This is most easily achieved in an ‘Open’ level Career Championship. Achieving the fastest time in all 4 heats can be very track dependent. How quick and consistent you are on a track versus how quick the A.I. are determines how easily you will be able to finish the fastest. I found Norway’s Hell Circuit Full to be an easy track to unlock this trophy on. This is because the A.I. are relatively slow through the joker section, as well as the second last corner.

For winning a qualification you get 50 points, win all four and score 200.

victory is not enough, the result of the race also needs to be the best time among all
