is this a game people have to buy or is it available throught the base game. im a bit confused since you can access the discovery tour through just valhalla but does it come with the achievements or do you need the standalone version to get the achievements?

i started ACV in game this mode and take photo nothing popped....

Seems you can only unlock these achievements in the standalone version... shame.

What's the point in adding these if I need to download a separate version to unlock them? What a waste..

Real slick how this is in the game but you have to spend $20 to get the standalone version to get achievements, Ubisoft at its finest. To think I reinstalled this massive game for nothing

Anywhere in the game you can press your left analog and right analog stick in to enter photo mode, for people who don't play much those are the to sticks on your controller that you use to move and look around, you can press them in like buttons, you need to press them both together to go into photo mode, take a picture to get the achievement.
This is a completely separate game from Assassins Creed Valhalla
