How to unlock the Years Ago, Another Time achievement in Dishonored 2 - Definitive Guide

Megan will tell you the truth, right before the final mission, if you are in Low Chaos. If not, pickpocket her key and you will find what you need in her cabin.

This achievement can be earned right at the beginning of the last mission, before you leave the ship for Dunwall. The manner in which you earn it, however, depends on how you've played the game up to that point.

It appears that if you've played a Low Chaos game, talking to Megan will simply get her to reveal her story. It's possible you have to have been Pacifist as well, but that's not clear.

If you've played a High Chaos game, she won't tell you (of if there's additional criteria beyond Low Chaos I'm unaware of), so instead you have to pickpocket her key (or possibly, kill her and take it off her body), then use the key to unlock her cabin (off the main room where Sokolv is painting; use the heart to reveal the bonecharms in her cabin if you're not sure where to go) and read the information in her cabin and listen to the audiograph to learn her story.

Either way, the achievement should unlock.

During the interim between Mission 8 and Mission 9 aboard the Dreadful Wale, be sure to talk to Meagan for one last time; she is on the deck, port-side, and will reveal her true identity. After hearing the entirety of her story, the achievement will finally unlock.

In chapter 9, when you are in the fallen house. Go to the deck and steal the key to her cabin from Megan. The book lies on the table, focus on the amulets.

The trophy is almost story-driven. In mission 9, just go out onto the deck of the ship and talk to Megan. I don’t know if it’s important or not, but I chose “forgive.” After the conversation, the trophy is yours
