How to unlock the Enough Coin to Disappear achievement in Dishonored - Definitive Guide

Recommended knife of Dunwall dlc
Their is a maximum of 7,705 coins to collect over the 4 missions plus the 3,000 you collect from starting the dlc which doesn't give you much room for missing out on coins.

But if you have the Knife of Dunwall dlc you can start this dlc with more coins than you usually start off with for this achievement I would recommend getting around about 5,000 coins and in each level try to aim for amount of coins that are listed below which are not that hard to collect.

Mission 1: Choosing your mark: 500/500, coins shouldn't be too hard if you use void gaze level 2.

Mission 2: A stay of execution for Lizzy: 1300/1655, use pull to grab coins off of the belts of guards and off of tables with some exploration you could find more than that just to be certain.

Mission 3: The dead eels: 2200/3520, there are a lot of coins missing in this level but you could easily find this amount of coins without trying. By now you should have around about 9000 coins.

Mission 4: Delilahs Masterwork: 1020/2030 same again just be careful getting into the mansion but after you hit 10,000 you will probably want to finish the mission. Not sure on if you will get the achievement by having exactly 10,000 but I had 10,057 coins when I had finished. Make sure that you have 10,000 coins before entering the Void as their is no coins there. At the start of the mission purchase the favour theiving butler which costs 75 coins but at the start of the mission turn around and jump In the water their will be a chest with 150 coins so its worth it.Credit goes to MisTaKez AE for discovering how to spend coins to receive more coins in this method for sneaking in more coins.

Bonus coins:
In the missions the dead eels and Delilahs masterwork you can find these plants that will spit acid at you by killing these you will earn 50 coins which will contribute to your 10,000 coins. By doing this it might void your cleanest hands achievement. Credit goes to Xela Killaz for discovering this method for extra coins.

When on the Knife of Dunwall dlc you will want to make sure that you have void gaze level 2 Blink level 2 and bend time level 1 save all other runes for the Brigmore Witches as you will need pull level 1. All remaining runes should go to bend time level 2 because if you get pull level 2 you will pull the person instead of the coin pouch or key.

Note: (Thanks to I Ant Tr4ckzZ for informing me and confirming) You can load up a high chaos save as long as you finish the brigmore witches dlc in low chaos will still get you the achievement.

If you leave a negative vote please leave a comment on how to improve and I will edit the solution in order to make it better.

Most stressful achievement ever. Just use void gaze II and pull and take your time. I spent probably 3 hours on the 2nd and 3rd mission and 2 hours on the first. I started on a new save and ended the DLC with 10,020. GOOD LUCK angry

You can also kill the River Krusts (the spitting green plants).
Then you can loot them for a pearl (worth 25 coins). wave

^^^^^^^ This and also buy the thieving butler favor at the beginning of the last mission. It cost 75 but when you turn around and jump into the water theres a chest that has 150 coin in it so its worth it

Can you start this with a high chaos KoD save, and finish in low chaos? Because I have ALOT more coin and runes on that save.

Not sure but if you dont have more then 3000 coins on your old save then just start a new one because you get 3000 coins from the start on a new save

On the Prison mission, I was only able to find 1155/1655 coins including the ingots from the interrogation room. Any idea where that missing 500 might be?

How does your money carry over from Knife of Dunwall? I've got two KoD saves, both high and low chaos, selected either when starting Brigmore Witches and had no money whatsoever? Anyone able to explain this one to me?

You get your money when you collect your gear from the chest in Daud's upstairs area. Either 3k if you started a new game or whatever you had if you carry over a save.

Finished with 12743 coins. I replayed KOD and grabbed all the coins. I didn't mind playing KOD again; it was really fun. Going into Brigmore Witches i had 7500 coins making this chieve really easy. Anyways, I started to panic a little because the silence is golden chieve popped on the stats screen but the Enough coin to disapear didn't pop til after the cut scence and right before the credits.

Can you spend the money, or do you have to hold on to the whole 10,000 till the end?

Coins you spend don't count. You have to complete the dlc in low chaos as have over 10k coins in your possession.

Gees. I'm really not sure I can be bothered with this achievement - seems to me that it's a lot of work. I've really enjoyed getting every achievement in this game, but this one seems to lose the plot somewhat!

You may want to add that it doesn't matter if you finish in High or low Chaos I was able to get this loading my high chaos save and doing my high chaos play through, as long as you have the 10,000 coins it will unlock. It is so much easier to do when you can look around after killing everything.

The total available coins without using a KoD save is actually 10,530. You have to spend 175 coins on favors to be able to collect every single coin in the final 2 levels. I'm also fairly certain that looting River Krusts counts towards the level total and isn't actually "bonus coins".

I've tried loading up my high and low chaos saves from KoD and I have 0 coins with both, does this mean that this achievement cannot be done unless you start a new game, or you carry at least 3000 coins over from KoD DLC?

I know the last comment was almost a year ago, but I didn't get 3,000 coins at the start of this dlc and I've beaten KoD twice. In both instances, I didn't buy anything, so where do you get these free 3,000 coins? Do I need them for this achievement? Some people say you don't, but the coin totals for each level don't add up to 10,000. I'm very confused.

In general what does everyone think would take less time, another thorough run through of KoD and then this or just starting from scratch with the 3k coins? I didn't plan ahead very well so neither of my current KoD saves have >3k coins.

Restarted my KoD save on the 2nd mission and went high chaos and looted everything. Started BW with about 5200 coins. Makes this a lot easier and so does a high chaos run.

Just barely had enough, missed about 1500 on Dead Eels but you can find a lot easily in the last mission

I did this achievement last without using my KoD save file as I didn't have much coin on it.

With void gaze, the 500 and 1665 in the first two missions were very easy to find.

I took the third mission very slow and was completely thorough, but only ended up finding 3217 coins. I imagine some that I missed were from a Granny Rags side task for re-enacting her wedding, but I couldn't figure out what was needed for the last part- finding a wedding ring. I have no idea where else I missed coins.

I found ~1750 in the final mission, putting me close to 10100, which was plenty for the achievement.

Just thought to add: killing the River Krusts does not void your Cleanest Hands achievement. I played through Dead Eels killing the Krusts and ended up with no kills.

I'm on the last mission and need 9 more damn coins. There's still at least 100 around somewhere 'cause I went ahead and beat it to get the undetected achievement, but I can't find a single bit of those leftover coins. ):

High chaos is better because you are able to search more without being stealthy..........when you are going low chaos, its harder to get more loot because you are trying to avoid as much conflict as possible

So to answer your question, yes, and it is definitely easier to try for this cheevo in high chaos.......

It works. You can carry over your Knife of Dunwall save (High Chaos) and go on to beat the Brigmore Witches story (under High Chaos) and still unlock this. Just make sure you have 10,000 coins or more after neutralizing Delilah. I was able to transfer more than 5000 coins to my Brigmore Witches playthrough so I only had to find another 4000+ in the entire DLC.

Though you don't actually receive all your stuff carried over from the KoD DLC until after you open the equipment chest in Daud's Office at the start of the game. Another important thing to note is that this achievement does NOT unlock right after defeating Deliliah. After passing all ending scenes, it unlocks at the start of the credits. So don't panic if it doesn't unlock right away.

Note: Don't forget to ensure you have your Void Gaze power upgraded to Level 2. This makes it so you can see all coins and valuables (green) when using the Void Gaze vision. Looting everything and seeing all coins and valuables (highlighted as green) in the environment is much easier using this power.

This has a list of all the coins in each level for the Brigmore Witches DLC. I didn't make the guide, credit goes to hinkel. I only had to use the guide on the last mission to find 9 more coins that I couldn't find. So I think this could help if you're short on a few, search almost everywhere, but can't find them.

I found this post on x360a http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showpost.php?p=5948... thanks Verbalibis

Basicly you don't need to be stealh at all and you can kill everyone if you wish so. I just tried this and to my surprise it works. You'll get Enough Coin to Disappear & All Come To Ruin achievements this way toast

This worked for me as well. I did not even complete a low chaos playthrough first. I had only 200 coins from my low chaos playthrough of knife of dunwall so if this didn't work I would have had to replay KoD. Nice find.

So to confirm, I killed everyone and did high chaos, carried over from a high chaos Knife of Dunwall save, but then did NOT kill Delilah.

I ran high chaos from my KOD save and then did high chaos killing literally anyone who saw and attacked me, and even killed Delliah and achievo still popped, just now :) So no sense doing this on low chaos, DLC is rough enough the way it is :)

I just started a new game in this dlc, started with the 3,000 coins and spent coins only on the butler favor at the end. Ended with 10,200 and change. Killed every enemy and some innocents and finished in high chaos. This method still works.

Here is a video guide for the locations of all of the coins in all of the missions and certain strategies to help you get through the missions.

* You start the game fresh with 3000 coins. No matter how much you have when you finish KoD (< or > than 3000) that is exactly what you will start with. If you import KoD and you don't have at least 3000, just do another KoD runthrough again. It's a lot less stress

* You can kill River Crusts and the Hounds in this game. They are not actual living creatures so you can suffer no penalty.

Not a full solution but a tip that can save you lot of trouble and time wasted on carefully hiding from being seen. In mission Dead eels there are two areas where you can turn enemies neutral which will make finding loot way easier. In Waterfront area - where the undine boat is - you just need to quickly blink through the right hand side, jump straight into the water and find a hatch on the bottom side of the ship. Neutralize Edgar Wakefield (choke or sleep dart if you're going for cleanest hands) and blink to the roof of the ship and pull the horn. From that moment you're free to explore and no one will stop you nor you'll be spotted.

Then you need to travel to the Mill. Same as before. Don't bother finding loot just quickly blink to the second floor. If you have blink 2 then using left hand side path through the guard house roof, pipes and though the mill window is the quickest. Speak to the Geezer and promise him you'll turn the water on...

And a final tip: if you're not going for coins you can totally skip this and just go straight to the safe, enter the combination (for me it was 258), steal the damn thing and return to the undine.

You can earn the achievement by loading a high chaos save from KoD and finishing in high chaos.

The easiest way to do this without having to thoroughly search every area is to first do a Knife of Dunwall run on any chaos level while saving all of the coins and importing that save in the Brigmore Witches. If done correctly, you can finish The Knife of Dunwall with just shy of 7,500 coins with the remaining amount easy to acquire if you want to do this on a no kill/no alert playthrough. A breakdown of the total coins you can get is as follows:

The Knife of Dunwall
Starting Money: 2,000
A Captain of Industry: 1,553 (2,053 If you help Abigail Ames; If you hide bodies correctly can still be accomplished on a no kill play through)
Additionally, salvaging butcher equipment can net you between 200-260 coins
Eminent Domain: 3,169
The Surge: 0
Total: ~7,400

The Brigmore Witches
Choosing Your Mark: 500
A Stay of Execution for Lizzy: 1,655
The Dead Eels: 3,520
Delilah's Masterwork: 2,030
Total: ~7,700

Total: ~15,100

With this, you can buy a few favors or upgrades to help out your play style. This breakdown can give you an idea of if you need to search a level a little bit more or move on to the next.

For my play through, I did a high chaos run through the Knife of Dunwall killing anyone and anything. I then ran through the Brigmore Witches dlc without killing anyone while still buying the boot upgrades to help with stealth to give me a low chaos ending. On the way I only grabbed money I ran into finishing with just shy of 11,000 coins.
