How to unlock the Enough Coin to Disappear achievement in Dishonored - Definitive Guide
Recommended knife of Dunwall dlc
Their is a maximum of 7,705 coins to collect over the 4 missions plus the 3,000 you collect from starting the dlc which doesn't give you much room for missing out on coins.
But if you have the Knife of Dunwall dlc you can start this dlc with more coins than you usually start off with for this achievement I would recommend getting around about 5,000 coins and in each level try to aim for amount of coins that are listed below which are not that hard to collect.
Mission 1: Choosing your mark: 500/500, coins shouldn't be too hard if you use void gaze level 2.
Mission 2: A stay of execution for Lizzy: 1300/1655, use pull to grab coins off of the belts of guards and off of tables with some exploration you could find more than that just to be certain.
Mission 3: The dead eels: 2200/3520, there are a lot of coins missing in this level but you could easily find this amount of coins without trying. By now you should have around about 9000 coins.
Mission 4: Delilahs Masterwork: 1020/2030 same again just be careful getting into the mansion but after you hit 10,000 you will probably want to finish the mission. Not sure on if you will get the achievement by having exactly 10,000 but I had 10,057 coins when I had finished. Make sure that you have 10,000 coins before entering the Void as their is no coins there. At the start of the mission purchase the favour theiving butler which costs 75 coins but at the start of the mission turn around and jump In the water their will be a chest with 150 coins so its worth it.Credit goes to MisTaKez AE for discovering how to spend coins to receive more coins in this method for sneaking in more coins.
Bonus coins:
In the missions the dead eels and Delilahs masterwork you can find these plants that will spit acid at you by killing these you will earn 50 coins which will contribute to your 10,000 coins. By doing this it might void your cleanest hands achievement. Credit goes to Xela Killaz for discovering this method for extra coins.
When on the Knife of Dunwall dlc you will want to make sure that you have void gaze level 2 Blink level 2 and bend time level 1 save all other runes for the Brigmore Witches as you will need pull level 1. All remaining runes should go to bend time level 2 because if you get pull level 2 you will pull the person instead of the coin pouch or key.
Note: (Thanks to I Ant Tr4ckzZ for informing me and confirming) You can load up a high chaos save as long as you finish the brigmore witches dlc in low chaos will still get you the achievement.
If you leave a negative vote please leave a comment on how to improve and I will edit the solution in order to make it better.

Most stressful achievement ever. Just use void gaze II and pull and take your time. I spent probably 3 hours on the 2nd and 3rd mission and 2 hours on the first. I started on a new save and ended the DLC with 10,020. GOOD LUCK

You can also kill the River Krusts (the spitting green plants).
Then you can loot them for a pearl (worth 25 coins).

This has a list of all the coins in each level for the Brigmore Witches DLC. I didn't make the guide, credit goes to hinkel. I only had to use the guide on the last mission to find 9 more coins that I couldn't find. So I think this could help if you're short on a few, search almost everywhere, but can't find them.

I found this post on x360a http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showpost.php?p=5948... thanks Verbalibis
Basicly you don't need to be stealh at all and you can kill everyone if you wish so. I just tried this and to my surprise it works. You'll get Enough Coin to Disappear & All Come To Ruin achievements this way

Confirmed that this just worked for me. It's way easier to grab 10k coins if you dont have to worry about staying hidden. Thanks!

Here is a video guide for the locations of all of the coins in all of the missions and certain strategies to help you get through the missions.
* You start the game fresh with 3000 coins. No matter how much you have when you finish KoD (< or > than 3000) that is exactly what you will start with. If you import KoD and you don't have at least 3000, just do another KoD runthrough again. It's a lot less stress
* You can kill River Crusts and the Hounds in this game. They are not actual living creatures so you can suffer no penalty.

Not a full solution but a tip that can save you lot of trouble and time wasted on carefully hiding from being seen. In mission Dead eels there are two areas where you can turn enemies neutral which will make finding loot way easier. In Waterfront area - where the undine boat is - you just need to quickly blink through the right hand side, jump straight into the water and find a hatch on the bottom side of the ship. Neutralize Edgar Wakefield (choke or sleep dart if you're going for cleanest hands) and blink to the roof of the ship and pull the horn. From that moment you're free to explore and no one will stop you nor you'll be spotted.
Then you need to travel to the Mill. Same as before. Don't bother finding loot just quickly blink to the second floor. If you have blink 2 then using left hand side path through the guard house roof, pipes and though the mill window is the quickest. Speak to the Geezer and promise him you'll turn the water on...
And a final tip: if you're not going for coins you can totally skip this and just go straight to the safe, enter the combination (for me it was 258), steal the damn thing and return to the undine.

You can earn the achievement by loading a high chaos save from KoD and finishing in high chaos.
The easiest way to do this without having to thoroughly search every area is to first do a Knife of Dunwall run on any chaos level while saving all of the coins and importing that save in the Brigmore Witches. If done correctly, you can finish The Knife of Dunwall with just shy of 7,500 coins with the remaining amount easy to acquire if you want to do this on a no kill/no alert playthrough. A breakdown of the total coins you can get is as follows:
The Knife of Dunwall
Starting Money: 2,000
A Captain of Industry: 1,553 (2,053 If you help Abigail Ames; If you hide bodies correctly can still be accomplished on a no kill play through)
Additionally, salvaging butcher equipment can net you between 200-260 coins
Eminent Domain: 3,169
The Surge: 0
Total: ~7,400
The Brigmore Witches
Choosing Your Mark: 500
A Stay of Execution for Lizzy: 1,655
The Dead Eels: 3,520
Delilah's Masterwork: 2,030
Total: ~7,700
Total: ~15,100
With this, you can buy a few favors or upgrades to help out your play style. This breakdown can give you an idea of if you need to search a level a little bit more or move on to the next.
For my play through, I did a high chaos run through the Knife of Dunwall killing anyone and anything. I then ran through the Brigmore Witches dlc without killing anyone while still buying the boot upgrades to help with stealth to give me a low chaos ending. On the way I only grabbed money I ran into finishing with just shy of 11,000 coins.
