How to unlock the Whisper Ways achievement in Dishonored - Definitive Guide

Here is a link to a full walkthrough of the DLC with commentary. It has no kills, no alerts, no upgrades, and is played on Master Assassin difficulty. You will unlock the achievements for Redemptive Path, Whisper Ways, and Cleaner Hands.

Having knocked out enemy bodies found will not count against this achievement.

Question on this achievement - during the mission in the whale slaughterhouse, I had unconscious enemies suddenly vanish and immediately respawn in the same room with me, suddenly alert and looking for me. Is this normal and if so did I do something incorrect?

Superb guide, even as of 22/08/2021. Got Whisper Ways, Cleaner Hands, and Redemptive Path.

If stealth was crap in the main game then it's crap concentrate in the DLC. Hoards of enemies pointlessly milling around small areas that can go from completely unaware to stabbing you in less than 3 seconds. Plus all the fake random NPC actions that are contingent on your own. I'm doing it as part of the Definitive Edition and I can't believe the DLC is still full price for the 360 version nearly 12 years after release.

Just to note: you can't get this on a high chaos playthrough because you have to fight the boss at the end.

I'm sure most people would just go for the three achievements at once like in your guide, but I felt like playing stealth/lethal my first time through, and I could have saved myself a few loading screens if I knew I'd be shafted out of this at the last minute!

Another outstanding guide Seraphim thank you. 7 achievements in the bag, can't argue with that.

Just a small note on the final mission. If, like me, you don't get the red X in the top right saying objective failed like Seraphim's video shows @ 6:58, just sleep dart one of the captured assassins, this will move the objective on to eliminating the organ grinders. 3 stealth achievements listed above all popped un-effected.

You don't actually have to get all the organ grinders, but it helps. Also, I noticed a few things that make the final mission easier. Right after you climb the chain at the beginning, turn around and look out the windows, and you can see the second assassin you need to rescue. If you've got at least 5 sleep darts, you can take out all of the guards through the window bars, and they'll never be able to see you, and won't be a problem when you get out to the statue/balcony later.

Be careful if they're near an edge and you're going for Cleaner Hands, because depending where you hit them with the dart, they may fall off to their death. Whisper Ways didn't unlock for me when I did Cleaner Hands, despite Ghosting all 3 missions, so I was free to kill everyone this time around.

Also, when you get to Daud's office, there are more windows overlooking the main courtyard and most of the overseers. Again, you're far enough away that they can't see you. They'll get 3 lightning bolts above their head when you snipe music box overseers from across the level, but they can't see you from that distance through a window.

Lastly, if you've cleared off the 5 guys surrounding the second captured assassin, right by where the captive was is a brick wall facing the statue of the Empress. Crouch behind either side of the wall and lean out, and you've got another good sniping point. From there, I shot a guy patrolling above the 3rd assassin, who fell, causing 4 other guards to come investigate one at a time and get knocked out.

After that, it was pretty much just the 3 guys guarding the last assassin, who heard the racket and split up to investigate, making them easy to pick off.

This achievement is quite difficult and requires patience. As with the original game, the main thing to watch out for with enemies is the awareness meter above their heads. When an enemy is alert, the lightning bolts above their head will begin to turn white and fill in. If the bolts turn red, the enemy has found you, and will begin to attack. If this happens, reload from your last save. White bolts will not end your achievement, but the enemy may run toward you on three white bolts. Hide until the enemy is no longer alert, and then continue. The sound of your footsteps while running or walking quickly may alert nearby enemies. To avoid this, move in Stealth Mode using  as much as possible.
