This one can be made faster by scaling up a tomato farm. I dug about 275 spots around the house and the restaurant and planted tomato which yield 3 vegetables each per harvest. You can go bigger if you want to shorten the time, but I found that the game started having trouble running with all of the planted vegetables moving around. Tomato seeds are purchased at Goofy's stall on the beach. You will need to come back and water your plants a couple times before they are ready to harvest. I recommend doing the gardening while hanging out with other characters to simultaneously work on leveling different characters to 10. If the character your hanging with has the gardening discipline you will get extra vegetables when you harvest but they dont count as harvested vegetables.

For a more hands off approach, you can recruit Wall-E and rebuild the community garden. He will tend to the plants for you, but you still need to harvest them. You can even upgrade the garden to plant more and actually speed up the growing process!

If you decide not to go with the WALL-E method, I think wheat is better for active farming. Each seed is only 1 coin, only requires one watering, gives two per harvest, and grows extremely quickly. If you build a big enough garden, by the time you water them all, the ones you started with will be ready to harvest!

I dont think that is correct. Wheat is not a vegetable and the achievement is for harvesting vegetables. I tested only by selling wheat to see if it would count as selling vegetables (for a daily duty) and it did not count. I will test it again when I get a daily duty to harvest vegetables but I'm thinking it doesnt count.

Thumbs up. The Tomatoes are far superior.
Takes 25 mins to grow fully. A field of 500 was yielding 1500 tomatoes every 30 mins plus the time to harvest them.
Was doing a ton of carrots early on for quick money with Souffles and then switched to this.

I used Okra, counts 3x for the gardener achievement since you harvest three Okra per slot and you only have to water it once. You can log out and after 2h or whenever you log in again they are ready to be harvested which is pretty efficient for a relaxed playstyle. You make 207 coins profit per harvest (without friend-bonus) which is also pretty decent for the banker achievement which takes far longer than the gardener achievement, so you might as well use a more profitable approach.

I collected the dreamlight for this very shortly after starting the game and just farming to make money, but the achievement hasn't popped for me and I've been gardening daily since early game. I have an okra farm that's 10x20 and I farm okra multiple times a day lol. I'm only a little peeved that this one hasn't popped for me.

Did this one bugged for anyone else? I have claimed the 4500 harvest duties one but the achievement never pop. Maybe I will need to create another gameloft account with a save on it to get it again.

I have to say this achievement is broke in its quantity. I have planted 3,900+ vegetables. I have harvested every single vegetable I ever planted. The game says I have harvested 2,600+ thats not even possible. Since I have planted over 1000 tomatoes too and yielded 3 from each as well as multiples from the glowing orange stalks. My tally should be in the 6,000 range leading me to believe there is a bug in the game recognising quantities in gardening, fishing, cooking too I have similar experiences and yes I saved the game but the gardening one it recognised I planted over 3.9 thousand so 2.6 harvested is badly wrong.

To the other poster who asks if it bugged yes several achievements are with amounts required. You'll be planting 20k at this rate and harvesting that many just to get the 4.5k it works fine for some but others are having game issues. Same when they have the collect memory orbs bugs

How is it possible that I planted 3 times the amount of vegetables of my harvested ones, it's way lower? Why do some count as plant a vegetable but not for harvest them? Seems odd.

I can confirm that wheat does not count towards the achievement. I went with tomatoes and spinach, however, tomatoes grow faster. A tip regarding watering/harvesting is use the map, if needed watering you'll see red water-icons and if ready for harvesting you'll see green harvest-icons.
