How to unlock the Photographer achievement in Disney Dreamlight Valley - Definitive Guide

super easy to obtain near beginning:

As mentioned in the comments below once you have your camera open you can just tap cn_A on repeat and it will keep taking photos over and over - this no longer works


UPDATE - they improved the photo mode since i posted this guide

you will now need to:

Press cn_RT
select your camera

press cn_start (to capture)

To take multi photos just press cn_start then cn_B on repeat


repeat 50 times

once you have done it 50 times press cn_down

go to dreamlight then scroll down to friendship

Here you can see how many photos you have taken (you need to collect your rewards in order for the achievement to pop)

You don't have to press B.

Just press A, A x 50

You don't have to exit the camera at all to hit your 50.

Nor do you have to press X, despite what the camera says.

Unfortunately seems to be bugged for some. I have taken well over 50, and have turned in for the reward yet it hasn't popped. (Tracker is stuck at 60%)

Mine was stuck at 60 % but after 48 hours it unlocked it

PirateRyanG is correct. Just press A over and over. Sometimes it counts as double pictures if fast enough. Took me like 1 minute.

This is bugged for me. Collected the dream light for it ages ago, still says 40% in my achievements.

mine hadn't been unlocked, so I started a new game, and I took pictures, exiting photo mode after each picture, before taking one again, with or without changing places
I think if you do it too fast, it doesn't count correctly.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong because I am not getting any achievement. Is this a quest I need to do it for? Because I am trying this now as soon as I get my first quests. Even did the whole take picture, exit photo mode, make picture etc. Wtf is this?

I have had other things not unlocking its just been stuck not progressing - which i reported already

part of my reply i got was

I figured it out from someone on YouTube. You have to hit start , go to the left where it says "Dreamlight" or something close to that and then look for a quest that says take 50 photos, and hit A on it a few times. Hope that helps, it unlocked for me right away after that .

What 'Im gettin WEIRD' says: after having taken 50 photos you can press down on d-pad, go to friendschip and collect your rewards by pressing 'A' a few times! So more than just once, I think 4 or 5 times. Then the achievement will pop.

Thank you for the last note about the achievement only being unlocked once you grab your rewards in-game, I got a bit nervous not seeing the xbox achievement tracker move. Guess that goes for every achievement in this game, thumps up :)

This achievement is very easy and you can do this as soon as you can control your character in the game

PC:
Press Tab
Select The Camera with your mouse or press 6
Right Click to enter photo mode and then press the camera, press the camera 50 times.
You then need to go to friendship and collect your rewards and your achievement will unlock.
Controller/XBOX:
Hold RT, select the camera then let go of RT
Press X to enter photo mode, then you can keep spamming A, you do not need to move your controller at all.
You then need to press the menu button go to friendship and collect your rewards and the achievement will unlock

The trophy description is incorrect. You only have to take 50 photos, I took 50 and the trophy unlocked. Also I went over to TrueAchievements and the achievement for this says 50 so it's an error in our trophy list
