This can be a little frustrating in what is an otherwise easy game. Some tips:
1) The stars are pretty much only in the passages where you aren't avoiding objects. Make sure you grab them when you can though. The game really starts going fast (with endless bats) around the time you reach your 7th star, or sooner.
2) I found that stars usually (but not always) go in threes during those empty passages. Try to make sure you catch all 3 when you can.
3) The bats go wherever you are when the warning pops up. Since you will spend a lot of time in the middle of the screen, try to go to the top or bottom whenever possible.
4) When you do get the muliplier, you're invincible. Just watch out when it's about to wear off.
I was close to 3 million when I got my 3rd multiplier. Not saying that it'll take you that long, but don't be surprised if it does. Good luck!

Yes. Yes I did. I closed all my other windows and still had this problem. I expect it's because of my PC, but who knows.

ok I eventually got the achievement god it was a nightmare with the lagging......I hope they fix it for the other people who need to unlock it.

Same lagging problem here on a Microsoft Surface. A real shame, it's not like it isn't a simple graphics 2D scrolling -_-

I found the lag horrible on the surface (I don't have a pro), but I eventually got it. I changed my resolution down as low as possible, I turned off bluetooth, and after signing into the game, I turn off wifi. I got this one my first try after that and got the 2 million point the second attempt.

This achievement is largely luck based, as well. There have been times I get 4 stars at 3 million, and the time I finally got it there were 11-12 stars by 1.3 million.

imaidiot19, In the top middle of the screen there are 3 ghosted out stars. You need to collect three stars to fill those out. Each 3 stars activates the star multiplier, so you need to collect 9 stars to get 3 star multipliers. If you have collected one or two stars and you hit something or a bat hits you, you lose them.

This is just plain fucking stupid. I have went through without hitting a single thing and collecting just about everything. There have not been enough points or stars for this to work.

There are 3 ways to play this mini game. Start it at the mini game section. (Never make you imortal)
And then continue the story after you completed it and in there click on the baloon. (Can make you imortal)
And also by clocking on the adventure symbol on bottom left were you see this mini game. (Think it also can make you imortal).
I still try to get 2.5 million and kinda have to use the mini game because if i get imortality i cant get the 2.5 mill achievement as the game never ends. If i quit it, then the game will register whatever points i have as a record but no achievement.
My record now is 1.7 mill and i played for maybe 6 hours or more.
I also made the computer faster by checking videos etc and yes its easier now but still lagging too much. Very tough for me this 2.5 mill ach.

This was a real pain. Thank god for perfect layout on my part. The damn bats spawning was causing the lag for me I hated when they spawn continuously

i tried this about 10-20 times and couldn't get it. But, it felt like the less points i got the slower it was so i avoided most of the hooks and got it first try at 800k points. And it doesn't matter what kind of computer you have (dedicated 8gigs of RAM) it will still lag.

There is a way to get imortal so you easily will get this achivement. Unfortunately even if i reached 11 million that way the game never ends so the 2.5 million achievement is much harder than this one.
To be imortal you choose the chapter this achievement is in and play the mini game from there. it happens automaticly time to time.
Then just go for the stars but you can still loose them. The achievement unlocks as soon you make it.

Using a VM and I feel the pain. Borderline impossible as the input lag is significant, and the game is chugging that it misses mouse presses and sometimes just stops accepting a held mouse press.
I'll be researching some tweaks for my VM.
