This is crazy easy.
To get the spiders to spin web ladders so you can enter their lairs, er, I mean, hidey-holes, you need to serenade them first with the guitar thing you build on the first chapter.
On the first chapter just click on the spider and up pops the guitar, press the play icon, and watch the three notes that play, just replay the notes correctly with no mistakes for all three spiders and you'll [bloop] and you're 15GS richer.
Note, this can be done on any chapter, but I did it on the first.
