How to unlock the Expert achievement in Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide

The guide is the same for both expert and master achievements

In Act 2, there are a total of 6 diffrent ways to gain source points. Below is a list of the guides from easiest to hardest in my personal opinion.

If you complete more then two of these, you will start to receive spell books that require source to use. They are random.

Attention! This hint is part of the Guide to completing the "Valor" difficulty level .

Before the fight with Mordus, do the following. From the bottomless chest on the "Mistress Vengeance", take one ring with the Summoning parameter +1 and two shields with maximum physical armor. Shields, put on Fane and Sebille. Ring with Summoning +1, put it on Fain. You also put on Fane a ring with “Summon Fire Slug”. Ifan must have Incarnate Warrior (Summoning +10). I drew your attention to the latter even before clearing the Reaper Cliffs.

I will give an example of my passage of this battle, but its basics will be the main ones for you. I will not write about the need to use "Flesh Sacrifice" and "Inspiration". Because you should understand all this anyway.

Without approaching Mordus, Fain, using the “Teleportation” skill, transfers Mordus to your characters. Make sure Mordus is close to them. At the same time, your characters must be next to two barrels (one of which is filled with water).
The battle!
On the first turn, with your main character, strike Mordus. Only with weapons. If before this, Mordus cast Disease on someone, then use the “Stone Armor” skill on that person. Ifanom, summon the Incarnate warrior. And cast “Power Saturation” on it. Incarnate, strike Mordus. Without using skills. Sebille, summon the Bone Widow, and place her next to Mordus. Strike the widow, blows at Mordus. Fein, summon a fire slug, and place it next to the rest of the enemies. So that he distracts them with himself.
By now, your characters and summoned creatures should surround Mordus in a tight ring. Because the main character, Sebilla, Fain, Incarnate and Widow, have the Opportunist talent. And if Mordus tries now to even move, it won’t be possible to do it painlessly for him. By the end of the first turn, Mordus' physical armor will be reduced to zero.
Further, I give only general provisions for this battle.
On turn two, activate Defense Dome and keep Mordus down. Skills and knocking arrows. Because you cannot allow Mordus to turn into Mord Akaim. If this happens, you are lost. But taking into account the tactics I have given for this battle, the chances of this happening are zero. On this turn, Mordus' comrades will slightly replenish his physical armor, but your characters will remove it very quickly. And only after that, turn it into a chicken (physical armor should be 0). At this point, be a little distracted by the remaining enemies. Slow them down and place a totem. But do not forget that your primary goal in this battle is Mordus.
When Mordus begs for mercy, activate the following lines: “To say that you could take pity on him...”, “You want to learn how to accumulate more Source...”, “Nod. If he keeps his word, you will keep yours.", "Shrug your shoulders and sink your teeth into the black, fetid flesh," and "Let the undead go...".
That's all.
You receive this trophy.
